My car suddenly beeped three times while I was driving alone in the road
My car suddenly beeped three times while I was driving. I think it beeped like that three days ago when a car in front of me suddenly stopped, which I think was the collision assist that beeped. But when it beeped today, I was the only one in the road and it was raining a bit. Also I looked for a symbol that would probably light up if it was a warning or a collision assist thing, but there wasn't any in the instrument cluster. Is it possible that the car mistook the rain for a stationary object/car? Do you think that the sensors were triggered when the car hit the water that was on the ground???
Could it be something else? What else does the car warn you using 3 beeps?

You sound very worried? Just take the car to the dealer, we weren't there so we're just guessing. I have this now and then randomly with the collision assist, it beeps and flashes (you may not have noticed the flash).

Same thing here. It goes off occasionally when there is nothing around, sometimes not helped by the rain. Hardly notice now to be honest.

Sounds to me like it was the Collision Assist beeping at you (probably didn't noticed the icon light up). This happened to me on many occasions with nothing in front of me...although it was already proven that mine was rather troublesome anyways. :-/

It's normal and likely reproducible at the same spot on the road... Something is triggering the radar as already mentioned

Does that road have an incline ? Where you climbing up or coming down an incline ?
I have this happen often in my car at the same spot. It is kind of a steep incline and my guess is that the radar detects the road ahead since the front of the car is pointing downwards when I am descending. It mistakes the road for a stationary object and warns you, but only when you are at a particular angle to the road. It must be the same in this case too.

I just realized what the problem was
its the trucks and trailers that are parked/abandoned on the side of the road
my car thinks that the i'm gonna hit them because the road curves and they are stationary objects

Mine does it at the same spots in the road I drive daily, annoyed me until I sussed out the probable cause. Hilly parts, mainly, or a building with badly maintained intrusion detection. And, I discovered, when I'm behind a police car that has active radar. If it's consistent, I may not have to get a cobra.
