One question about paddle shifter..
Sorry for my noob question but i am new to paddle shifter..
I would like to ask if it is normal to hear a "sound" when i change gear using the paddle shifter...?
For example, I was in M2 and shift to M3 at around 3500-4000 rpm...at the moment when i press the shifter..there was a sound from the engine..it is hard to describe that "sound"...but it was kinda like "a bullet was fired from the gun".lol...

In my current C Class I completely ignore the paddles as I can not get the car to change gear when I want it to, only when it allows me to. This means that I can not just drop down a gear to overtake on single carriageways, as the computer won't let me.
It would be great to know that is not the case when I eventually pick up my w205, and that the car will now allow you the freedom of changing gears when you want to (within reason, of course)
I know the reason they do this is to stop you going back into 1st when at 60mph, but it should allow you to drop a gear to get that extra overtaking oomph

You'll have to be on the gas for a while then shift at a high enough RPM. Doesn't have to be fast, you can shift at 2500 in first, then 4-5k in second and you'll get a nice pop. I believe it's from some pressure build up?
