Where is the oil drain plug on C300?

I was all set to change the oil on my C300 yesterday. I first changed the oil on my wifes CLA-250 and was done in like 15 min. (same engine).

So I pulled the C300 and was stumped, maybe going blind - I could not find the drain plug anywhere. I searched the forums, web, dark web and nothing. Manual only had instructions to add oil (pg. 256). Grrr .

Does anyone know where the oil drain plug is located? Pics would be appreciated.

You have to remove the plastic shroud under the engine. App. 8 bolts. It will then be obvious.

I like to remove the shroud so I can inspect for leakage or anything else that"s obvious.

For US model C300 4-banger, the oil drain plug is a 13mm nut facing the front driver side wheel. It is located near the center of the middle plastic shroud with 8mm bolts from the front of the car and near the middle of the engine. Do not need to remove any other shrouds (in front or behind the engine). A 27mm wrench is needed to remove the oil filter cover from the top of the engine. Sorry didn't take any photos when I did it yesterday.

Probably a little late .. but if it helps, the MB doco calls for oil to be sucked out (see attached).

That's the instructions to the techs at the dealer. It's fine to drain it from the bottom as well. Thanks.
