2015 C400 Engine Noise at 1500-2000rpm

2015 C400 Engine Noise at 1500-2000rpm
I've been experiencing a subtle but noticeable rattling sound when accelerating in my C400 around 1500-2000rpm.
Just crossed the 1500km mark and took it into the dealer. Had a tech ride along with me for a couple blocks and he said it was just the direct injection system.
Has anyone else been experiencing this? Is it really just the direct injection?

Yes, I have this noise
My C400 suffers from the the faint pinging noise described here and in the other thread.
My dealer duplicated it, consulted with MBUSA, and it was diagnosed as loose rods actuating the wastegates. Both turbos and both wastegates were replaced, but the noise, while less frequent, still exists. It may be octane related because it appears to come and go with different fill-ups. The dealer now states that the sound is part of the design of the turbo V6 and there is nothing that can be done.
It sounds like a very quiet type of detonation to me. I'm glad others have posted on this because I was starting to think I was the only one, and would get no further action.

c4004matic, I tried to make a vid. Not sure well it turned out. The audio could be better but it's harder than I thought to drive and film. I've found it's easier to hear the rattle with headphones.

That's the exact sound I'm experiencing starting at 1500rpm and dies down a little after 2000rpm.
Is your car a late build c400?

I hear little rumble at the begging of the vid. I have no idea what it is. Unfortunately the nature of these small noises is frustration since my guess it does it when it wants to and the owner is the one who is attuned to it. I would let it go, if its something bad , sooner or later something obvious will happen then its repair time

I own an e400 2016 March build with the same pinging noise at idle and rattling sound from the turbos when accelerating. Anyone experience problems yet or hoping it’s normal as my warranty end in under a year

I have the same noises on my C400. Dealer replaced a couple items, both noises still occur. Now the dealership said those are "normal operating sounds".....

I had a similar sound, turned out to be a missing nut/bolt under the driver side and it would start to vibrate at cruising rpms. I also had a catalylic converter rattling sound, but I replaced it with a catless downpipe since I was going to tune it anyways.
