The service foreman said that MB was has acknowledged the problem and they were working on a new TSB. He said, "The problem seem to be the glass." He added that the cure will probably be a package of seals. I interpreted his use of the word "glass" as meaning that too much noise was getting through the window assembly as a whole, not through the glass itself.

Is new glass all there is to it? Or are some different seals also involved?
Did they just do the front driver's side window or did they do the passenger's side as well?
Did the fix completely cure the problem 100%?
I have a my first "A service in Feb. (I got my first alert 27 days in advance.) I will bring up the wind noise problem then. In the meantime, living with it is not a hardship. Even at 70 or above, the noise is minor, and I rarely drive on expressways.
I brought up the wind noise with my dealership when I had the car in for a couple major rattle issues. They said they would escalate it to MBUSA, but it never went past that. I've noticed a returning rattle in the driver's seat, so I plan on taking it back soon. Will bring up the TSB mentioned in this thread.
When I first report wind noise issue on front window 9 months ago, Dealer said no excessive window noise, comparable with other New C w205. Last week bring in for 12 month service and complain on Front Wind noise again, this time San Francisco dealer accept issue on noise, have install 205-737-21-00 INSULATION REA( FOAM STRIP to WASISTLINE trime strip) and place order 205-725-23-00 ACOUSTICS front windows glass for both driver and passenger side. Expect 205-725-23-00 windows glass will arrive in 3 weeks. MBUSA has issue tech bulletin LI72.10-P-062500 on above correction.
The wind noise does reduce some after 205-737-21-00.
Will update again, after 205-725-23-00 ACOUSTICS glass install a month later.

Brought my C300 in for Service A last week. I gave them the list (wind noise, engine noise, check for updates). This was my 3rd request to do something about the wind noise. This time I had the German bulletin with english translation from this site. Guess what, two days later I got a call, they are ordering acoustic glass. Seems MBUSA may finally be acknowledging the wind noise problem. Now it would be nice if the brilliant engineers at MB would come up with a real fix.
The funny thing is that the dealer gave me a 2015 GLK 350 as a loaner. I looked at the GLK page here and found complaints about wind noise at high speeds. Based on my experience with the GLK so far, I can't get over the lack of wind noise compared to my W205. Those GLK owners should test drive a W205 to give them a little perspective on wind noise.
BTW, get your engine checked! They are also replacing all the pistons in my C300. Mine wasn't as noisy as some have indicated on this site. However, if your engine falls under the TSB, and you own the car, you better get it repaired before you have serious damage years from now that will not be covered by warranty.

My California dealer is finally aware of the SB and has scheduled an appointment for early next month to go thru the steps. I'll report back in detail when they're done.

Took my 2015 C300 on 1/12/16 for Service A, Wind Noise and Engine Noise problems. Got the car back yesterday, 1/22/16. So, it took them only 10 days to secure all the necessary parts and do the work. Pretty good service. I also enjoyed the loaner, a '15 GLK350.
After road testing the car, the dealer decided that my car needed a new RH side mirror and acoustic glass on front driver and passenger. The RH mirror assembly was not seating properly. They did all the tests noted on the German document. Maybe there is now an official USA version as they keep referring to LI72.10-P-062500 in the work order. Like "Road tested for wind noise per LI72.10-P-062500."
I did not get a chance to drive the car extensively since getting it back, but on the 15 drive back from the dealership, which includes all kinds of roads and speeds, it sure seems improved. The only time I heard wind noise was in a cross-wind at about 75mph. We'll see how it goes after a few miles are put on it, but so far so good.
The acoustic glass is sort of stepped at the top edge, whereas the standard glass was uniformly rounded. The tint, which was a concern here, appears the same as my rear door windows.
They also replaced 129 parts in the engine including pistons, rings and connecting rods. The work involved what is described as a complete tear down and rebuild of the engine. That's a ton of labor. My copy customer copy of the work order does not show parts or labor cost for warranty work, but we are talking a lot of money. So if you own an engine that falls under this under the TSB, I would get it to the dealer for inspection. They found the problem at "1700 rpm on deceleration." Had I not read of the problem on this site, I would have never known and could have ended up paying for this mess once the car was out of warranty.
I was amazed they were able to get the glass so quickly. I was equally amazed they got the new engine parts so quickly. Their response was they had no problem getting it from MBUSA as they have plenty in stock. Sounds like the supply line has been brought up to speed.

I just bought a C450 last week. I've heard about the complaints about the wind noise but didn't notice anything. I just checked my glass, front windows driver and passenger are laminated acoustic. Date code of manufacture is 01/2016 Alabama.

My C300 is at the dealer as of this morning to do the Wind Noise Service Bulletin. I'll let you all know how it works out.
How do you tell it is laminated ?

Just got a call from my dealer to pick my car up. Said he'd schedule it back in as soon as the acoustic glass arrives. Although it took a year to get to this point I am now a happy camper.

Has anyone found an official service bulletin for the wind noise in the US? The NHTSA website lists many service bulletins for the C300 and C400, but nothing about wind noise. I can't find any mention of LI72.10-P-062500 other than on this site.

Your dealer should have access to it. Mine dealer had it.
May I ask which Bay Area MB dealer you went to? since some of us had experience where dealer is reluctant to lookup or admit the wind noise / wrist pin issue. I may go to the same to avoid issues.

If you're asking me, I'm not in Bay Area. My dealer is Alfano Motorcars in San Luis Obispo.
