Climate Comfort Seats Question

Hey guys, just saw that climate comfort seats (ventilated seats) are now available to order in Canada as a C$1,200.00 option.

Just wondering for those who have this option, are the ventilated seats worth it? (Because I've seen a couple of posts where people mentioned that they weren't very strong)

Cheers

What i noticed in mine is that heat seats work very well and get really hot. The cooling seats do not work that well I barely feel it on a hot day.

Yeah that's what I've been hearing...the cooling seats are not that effective. Thanks for replying

They're effective in the sense that they do ventilate the seats and provide some cooling. On a hot day, it's obvious that they are working, but I wouldn't call the sensation dramatic. Here, they are part of the interior package. As a standalone option, I'm not sure I'd buy it.

I would have to agree with Stan here. Ventilated seats come bundled in the Interior package here in the US. As a standalone option for $1200, I think I could live without them. Though living in Florida, where it's sultry most of the year, they'll offer some much needed comfort here.

I don't know if I'd pay $1200 for them (same as what I paid for AirMatic!) but I do have them and appreciate them on warmer days.

I ordered this option thinking it was AC seats. It's a waste of money and would not order it for my future cars. Now if it's AC seats, probably.

"And Goldilocks said, "This one's just right!"

I find the C300 ventilated seats are just right. On a hot day, where the sun has been on the driver's seat, they blow some of the heat away from the seat before I even sit down. This works best when you use the feature on the smartkey that opens all the windows and the sunroof (if you have one). That feature also turns on the seat ventilation. This gives the ventilation a few seconds of operation before you contact the seat. Then seat ventilation works well to prevent buildup of perspiration. Except on the hottest days, I am ready to turn it down or off after 45 minutes.
