New BMS burger tuning for my c400!
I was looking at getting a tune for my car, but then decided on a piggy back system from burger tuning Instead mostly because it was a lease and I can simply remove the module anytime before bringing it in for service and it won't store any codes in the ECU!
So here are my thoughts on it:
When I first installed it, I felt a better acceleration overall but
Mostly on 1/4 to 3/4 throttle was when I felt it made the biggest difference.
At full throttle it's very difficult to tell the difference unless you're timing your acceleration times.
However, I decided to write about it when I felt a huge difference after removing it. The car now feels slow, I got used to the responsiveness and fast acceleration with little throttle.
And even when I give about 1/2-3/4 throttle, the car feels sluggish now.
I removed it because I'm taking my car to the dealer next week to get my winter tires installed and just in case the open the hood, I don't want to give them an excuse to deny any warranty work in the future!
I'm probably going to put it back in the spring since during the winter it's rare I push the car, or maybe sooner since now I got the taste of it and it sucks going back to stock!

Congrats
Try map 2. If you have access to higher octane or e85 add 3 gallons.
Map 2 advances timing a bit and higher end is improved.
This engine is a low rev torque boosted engine design for family sedans and SUVs. From day one i knew this engine will not have top end pull... It would take intake, down pipes to explore higher end power. The engine has tiny airboxes and restricted exhaust.
But so far on tuning alone.. Car produces good gains, so plenty left for more.
I took my car to fletjer jones Ontario w bms piggy back for 10k service. No isues.

Hey Topgun,
Unfortunately I don't have acces to e85 here, I'm in Quebec and the best I can get is shell 91.
Well there is the 94oct from Petro Canada but it's mostly detergents.
You're right about the air intakes, I noticed how thin and restrictive
they are, my 2012 c300 had bigger air ducts!
I noticed the extra power when I installed it 2 weeks ago but I noticed even more when I took it out yesterday, I feel my car sluggish now without it! Lol
Hopefully they will come out with updates in the near future that I can use for stage1 with even more power !
I wanted to try my car with and without the stage1 on a drag strip but they closed due to the cold weather and they will reopen in spring.
I will take my car to the drag strip when they reopen and post the 1/4 mile times for stock vs Stage1, I'm very curious to see the results.
Have you tested your car yet?

I also wanted to mention that the v6 engine with the piggy back feels more responsive almost like the 4cyl turbo of the c300.
I got the tune because to me the c400 felt a little heavy and the engine didn't respond as quickly as the 300 I drove a few times, but now that is no more of an issue!
Definitely worth the money!
I can only imagine how the car would feel with a proper ECU tune on a dyno.
(But on a 39 month lease, an ECU tune is not worth in my opinion).

Hey RC,
Questions about the tune because I've been debating that exact 1 (if you've seen some of my posts)
1. Can you turn on and off the power through the entertainment console or is it just always on once installed?
2. Have you notice the MPG with it on? Casual driving? Agressive?
-just stock my gas mileage is turning out to be horrible

Hey Jerzeykid!
Once you install it, it's always on.
You can unplug it, but there's no on/off switch.
As far as gas mileage, I haven't noticed a difference but that wasn't my concern.
If it does make a difference, I doubt it would be much though because if it was significant, it would've caught my attention.
