...simple search my friend...there are tons of threads about this...
NO. there is no carplay for any Mercedes vehicle from the factory, end of story. some aftermarket manufacturers will likely be making these available for many vehicles

At least in Europe the A and CLA are available with Carplay. The New E-class also will be available with carplay. It's available both on the Command and Audio 20 USB systems. Its isn't clear to me why the C does not come with Carplay or if an upgrade is possible.

On the Canadian order guides, Carplay is listed as available from 12/15 production on the B, CLA, CLS, E Coupe/Cabrio and GLA Class. Interestingly enough, it's not available on the C yet even though that's the car it was initially demo'd in, but maybe that guide hasn't been updated.
No word on retrofit either.

Spot the glaring omission ![Frown](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)

Won't happen on the W205 IMHO. Not until the mid-life refresh at least. Nice bait and switch from MB.

Yeah we broke the story last night. I was so upset that c class wasn't in there.

It's really annoying, it was one of the selling points for me. I also noticed they took down the website that had all the info.
As someone who bought this car as my first Benz, at least now I know what their word is worth - nothing.

I'm in the exact same position. The C-Class is my first car and was so excited about CarPlay ever since it came out. I saw that CarPlay will be available in the W205 and saw a demo of it on YouTube, which made it seem like it was ready for primetime, and it was my main selling point too. Now 1.5 years later and no updates about CarPlay on the W205. That really sucks, Mercedes. Coupled with crappy service in my city, Gargash in Dubai, UAE, which my dad (S-Class 2015) and I both experienced, might as well get a BMW next.

Anyone else feel slapped in the face? Upon my purchase (2015 C300) in January I was told it was coming to my car in a firmware update. I asked this specifically as it had been demonstrated in various locations on the web as being in the 2015 C300.
Not only has that not happened (along with remote starting via the Mbrace app), it is not even an option on the 2016 model.
Chalk it up to the list that keeps me from being a repeat Mercedes customer.

Front Page Coverage
Looks like it's not the news everyone was hoping for, but thought we should cover it on the front page just the same...

It's 2015. This should standard or widely available.
American, Japanese and Korean manufacturers tend to be better up to technology on info systems.
This strategy isn't going to work out long term for MB if they want to be attracting in younger buyers.

So bummed no c class. I have a c450 build in January and I would have added multimedia for this. I didn't think the other features were enough for me (everyone is different). I assume that the CarPlay navigation won't update the hud though.

As a person who has been driving BMW primarily for the last little while I gotta say that this whole no carplay thing is rather disappointing. The last Mercedes I had was a 2005 and I went back into the Mercedes fold now because I liked the styling of the new C and the promise of carplay being available in the future. Although Mercedes didn't promise anything in writing, everybody saw the youtube video.
Comand is utterly disappointing, and while iDrive has issues of it's own, it definitely feels way more refined and mature than Comand. Can I even get siri to work on the thing? Siri has been around forever and unless I am mistaken, Siri doesn't work natively with comand?

Alternatively you can active "Hey Siri" on iPhone 6S and it works on the previous iPhones only if the iPhone is connected to power.

I think I read somewhere that with the Comand Navigation System and your iPhone connected on Bluetooth you can press and hold the voice control button on the steering wheel and it will activate Siri.

As a c450 owner and a sales consultant for Mercedes I can tell you first hand, that for a while now Mercedes (cooperate) along with Apple has been telling us that it will be available and its a upgrade in the 2015 and up current cars. Don't hold it against your salesperson because he or she was probably just telling you what they were told. When push came to shove it was the combination of Mercedes Benz hardware and Apple software. I am bummed that as of now there is no end in sight but hopeful as time goes on Mercedes and Apple will be able to do a software update and use carplay.

Last week I was toying around with the COMAND built-in apps whilst parked. I noticed that a few of them came up with a warning that support for the apps was ending this year. I wonder if this is possibly a precursor for release of Apple Car Play or Android Auto. It would be odd for MB to deprecate functionality without considering some kind of replacement.

I remember a while back there was a forum post about an aftermarket CarPlay module for the current c class cars. Does anyone know where that forum is or what the name of the company who makes it is.

This kind of strategy where car companies do not offer new features to older cars is going to really hurt them over the next 5 -8 years. Consumers have grown accustomed to buying hardware that gets better over time with free software updates. If car companies continue to be stuck in the past and hold on to how they've always done things, tech companies (e.g. Apple) will enter the market and kill them. You're already seeing this with Tesla.

This Apple Play talk is a bit depressing. Not a 3rd world problem, mind you. But when I just read an article about the 2016 Honda Accord which comes with Apple Play and Google (whatever they call their version) in a $22,000 car is somewhat frustrating when my $55,000 Mercedes from the same model year doesn't. And I'm going to guess that when Mercedes does bring it out in the C Class, it won't be an option we can add to our current cars.
