2015 C300 Sport Package
Recall re Rear Suspension?
I received a notice from my dealer about a recall, number 2015090005. On the phone, the dealer said the recall was for a rear suspension nut and was issued earlier this month. Oddly, the MBUSA website does not list this recall for my VIN number. (US made, ending in 0931). Has anyone else received this notice or have any more information about the issue? Thanks.

I haven't heard of this, and a recall normally requires written notification, not a call from the dealer. Maybe a TSB (Technical Service Bulletin)?
It might be worth a call to customer service to see if they have any information about this.

My C400 was in for a tire problem yesterday and they also did the 201509005 recall. They described it as a "service campaign." The work order described the work as "REPLACE MOUNTING NUTS FOR DAMPER TO SPRING CONTROL ARM"
This is an AIRMATIC vehicle.
They also found a leak in a rear suspension component and have ordered the replacement part. It seems that the leak may be related to the recall. I'll find out more next week when I return to get the leaking part replaced.
I haven't been able to find any details of the recall on line or by vin number.
