AMG-Sport is dead. C450 will now be AMG C43
I see in the Sedan guide is has a 8/2016 release and the Designo interiors were added on 5/3 (the date of release). For the Coupe I see it has a 9/2016 release with a 5/2 Order Guide release date. I'm holding out hope that the Coupe guide just hasn't been updated yet.
I've seen pics of the Coupe with Saddle Brown at one of the auto shows, so it definitely existing a month or so ago. I guess we'll see.

The C450 isn't a true dual exhaust if I recall correctly?
Then the description goes on to say: About 3 variably adjustable exhaust valves, the sound at the selected travel program adapts. In addition, the driver can change the sound characteristics of a button. So it is a maximum spread of noise, from comfortable to highly emotional, allows. (google translation).
So based on that info, it would seem that the c43 will get the switchable exhaust with button. But again, who knows until everything is final.
EDIT: And yes, the c450 was a single exhaust system.

Traditionally the Sport exhausts have been decent sounding exhausts and Performance exhaust have been great sounding...more than just a button to turn it on or off. The C450 has the Sport.
But I would rather put my money in a high quality aftermarket system.

That is the c43 config site. That pic is clearly the c63 engine. I would love to take a sawzall to the exhaust, and put a pair of diverter valves before the mufflers with cutouts kicking down. But with that said, I would love that dash button with the twin pipes. Sooo badass.
Of course, none of this means anything. But investigating is fun!

All I know is that if the Performance Exhaust makes an inline 4 sound like this, I want to wait for it for the C43's V6TT. Hopefully MB will hurry up with the details.
If I am recalling correctly, the difference is the deletion of one resonator. That gives the improved sound.

But the CLA45's Performance Exhaust is the U21 part, the same as the C450 Sport Exhaust, not the U78...so that makes things even more confusing. Also, in that thread it is stated that it just decouples the exhaust valves and the drive mode selected...which the C450 can already do with Individual Mode, I believe.
Who the **** knows, I'm done caring about it for now. When my dealer gets back to me with some better info, and the early reviews come out, we will have a better line of sight. If it turns out to be different, I wait until September and get a Coupe...if it doesn't, I'll take my C450 at the end of the month and roll with a sedan.
