8.5x19 will fit on front?
I've a C220d AMG package and stock rims AMG line 18".
Now I want buy a new set for summer, but I've a doubt:
Rims are from Corniche, mod. Conquer, and the supplier told me that
following setup will be ok (without rubbing):
Rims:
Front: 19x8.5 ET45 with 10mm spacer per side
Rear: 19x9.5 ET45 w/o spacers
Tyres:
Front: 225/40-19
Rear: 255/35-19
In my opinion there aren't problem on back, but I'm not convinced about 10mm spacer per side on front.
As he said, these rims needs 10mm spacers in order to avoid issues with brakes.
Do you have experiences on it?
Many thanks!
Your Vossen are very close to calipers but spacers aren't needed, it's right?
I'm thinking to buy anyway 5mm spacers, just to be sure to avoid problems when I'll install new wheels.
Howewer thanks for confirm me that 10mm spacers are too much!
...and my compliments to your car! Very nice setup!

Just ordered some Vossen CVT 20X8.5 for all four.
Front: 225/35/20
Rear: 255/30/20
I have the US C300 4Matic w/Sports calibers.
Will I need 5mm spacers in the front since its not a 450?
Thanks for your help!

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
You wont need spacers, itll be close but work fine
However I wouldnt fit 255.s on a 8.5" rim, might look very bulky, especially compared to the stretched 225.s up front.
The car came with the factory 19" AMG multi spoke wheels that are 19x7.5 and 19x8.5. We swapped the tires on to the Carlsson rims which stretched the tire a bit both front and rear, but it looked good and fit properly, and with all the 4 matic cars in the market this set up was applicable to those models as well.
Currently testing is being done for the new C450 as this car has a larger arm on the front suspension. The C63, keep in mind has a wider front fender, so the applications for a 63 version will not be the same application like the standard cars, and the 450 does not have this wider fender either.
If you have a C300 or C400, or a 180 or 250 etc in Europe, the 19x8.5 ET45 and 19x9.5 ET50 will fit and work perfectly with the factory spec 19 inch tires.
The rear wheels with a ET45 will sit past the edge of the fender...so if you run a larger tire it is just going to hang out the fender that much more.
Hope this info helps.

Jim, any updates on the C450 fitment?
Since the C450 comes with an 18inch front wheel with an offset of +33, would a 15mm or 20mm spacer work with a 19 inch Carlsson 1/10 wheel with an offset of +45 to clear the C450's larger arm?

To each his own on doing the lowering...I just don't think the 300 platform is worth lowering...my wife drives the car daily and with the car lowered you need to be more aware of driveways, tire blocks etc. Also the lighter engine of the 300 compared to the 6cyl models makes me concerned about ride quality.
A nice aggressive set of wheels does the trick for making the car look cosmetically better...sure lowering it also really gives it an even better look, but then you start to sacrifice function for daily driving and I honestly did not want to start having to do front bumper paint repairs etc, or hear my wife complain that the $50k Mercedes we bought rides like crap! Just my 02!
any guesses then, if 225/40 with ET35 and ca. -30mm drop will cause any problems?
Judging by the photo OSMS posted a mild drop should be ok?
