I have received a list with codes when I ordered the vehicle but this is coming from more detailed one which is used for manufacturing your specific car. My friend works at the dealer, she gave it to me but I think you can decode your VIN. There are some websites for that.

Well.......we have ourselves a new mystery here. It's like the mystery of the Binnacles in the GLC. Some cars have them like all C300's do. And some cars (ours doesn't). No one has yet figured out positively what causes some to have them, while others don't. Maybe the robots on the manufacturing like take a break at some point while the car is rolling down the line.

Remember that the cameras go under the mirrors as well. Mb may have pulled these lights for a period of time to resolve the situation.
Based on this theory, any kind of back up camera on some 2016s might remove these lights even though they are not related. Just my thoughts of course.

I pitched this thread in the c63 board to see if ANY c63s have it. If it's not a c63 option that excludes part of the mystery.

Yep, I have the exact same settings there, and that's how I noticed half the locator lights were basically missing. =/
That's interesting, because I do have the rear camera. I'm slightly annoyed by this and the fact that I had foggy headlights that had to be replaced, and that remote start never works!

When the 360 is activated, the side mirror lights come on (even when driving) in order to light up the area around the side of the car. In the dark, the 360 would struggle to show anything on either side of the car without these lights...

In USA, C300, not sport or luxury, with folding mirrors, full keyless go and backup camera, no multimedia option. I bought the car new in June 2015. It has lights under the door handles and under the mirror.

Alright this is stupid!
Chames81 has a good point regarding the need for these for lighting the sides as is in my GL63.
Lets look at production dates. Mine is 11/16 no LED.

Well, the dealership said that they removed the lights at some point on the 2016 production line. Mine was built December 2015 and I don't have the lights, so looking at this thread, he seems to be right. Maybe they are now only included if you have the 360 camera system.
