The 2015 loaners I have had had them but not the 2016s. My 2013 has footwell lighting too which doesn't seem to be in the newer models.
For a long time they had removed the back lighting on the headlight switch, even on the S class. At least that has been returned.
It's annoying how manufacturer cut little things like that out all the time.

The current 2016 loaner I have doesn't seem to have the footwell lighting or the puddle lighting. As someone else mentioned there are outlines where the puddle lights are normally found.
