Questions to canadian C450 owners
Hi all.
I'm about to start shopping for the C450 for my wife and I have questions.
First, what kind of deals have you guys been able to get? In terms of percentage off MSRP. Are the dealers flexible or not since it's a new model?
Second, before I start haggling I need to know the exact configuration on the car, so is the Canadian website reliable for configuration, or are there some things missing/inaccurate? I'm thinking I could configure the car properly, know the MSRP and know the dealer's invoice before talking to anyone.
(It may sound weird that I'm questioning MB's official website, but I had trouble configuring my wife's 335i in 2013 because BMW's website was missing some options and packages...)
Thanks.

Hello!
You can trust the website, but the 4500$ premium option is mandatory.
You also have to add prep and delivery charge, I don't remember but around 2k$.
Overall, I ordered mine in november and best deal was only 1500$ off MSRP (+ winter floor maps of course). The delivery is expected in March. I live in Quebec.

I can confirm this...No heated steering wheel really sucks in the current weather but I feel that its livable with the Alcantara (AMG steering wheel).

Standard discount turns around $1500 - $2000 off MSRP. But if you are a returning regular customer they can give you much more discount. I managed to get 5000$ off MSRP and 2.5% lease rate for 39 months.

And they took 5% off MSRP.

Wait, no heated steering wheel and optional 1200$ heated seats (I don't care about cooled seats)?
This is pathetic, these are becoming standard on lower brand cars, and when they're optional it's certainly not a 1200$ option... this is officially baffling.
ashap : what kind of seats did you order? I'm thinking maybe this "package" is standard on some seat types and not others...

I got over 5% off in October (one of the first 450s on the lot) from Midtown. they won't go below a certain floor set by head office so hard to push them down to invoice like the BMW folks, but 5% is a pretty realistic target.

Best bet is to try a bit of back and forth with a corporate and an independent dealer (there are a few kicking around in the GTA). See if you can really push the independent then get your local corporate to match (or go with the indy)

I think you will have more luck lowering the interest rate than getting a bigger discount because the discount is directly from the dealer's pocket...

Hey sv-, I upgraded to the Crystal Grey AMG Nappa Leather seats. Love how they look in the car. And as nvestr said, no matter which seat you decide to go with, they all come with heated seats standard

Do you imagine the leasing interest rates would be more negotiable than finance interest rates? I'll be financing my car not leasing- (and I'm not complaining about a 1.9% interest finance rate-- though it still doesn't compare to the 0.9% finance rate for the 2016 E class) but when I asked the dealership if the interest rates were negotiable at all, they looked at me like I was crazy for even asking
