Thumbs down C450 Audio Level

After having the car for a few weeks, I finally put a radio on. Sorry I couldn't stop listening to the pops and cracks of the exhaust. It was ear candy.

But anyway back to the radio. I was using the Bluetooth audio from my phone, and it seems like the audio level doesn't go loud enough. It wasn't as loud as I believed it should be. My phone volume was up, and the car volume was up as high as it goes. But in yet, it didn't go very high. Unless I'm just deft.

Is there any of setting or control I may be missing?
Has anyone connected a subwoofer to the comand system to get more volume?

Check in the vehicle settings to make sure the auto volume setting is turned off. Also, you'll have better sound plugging your phone into the USB vs. using Bluetooth

When you choose the Bluetooth Audio device in the car there's a menu option to boost the volume.

Do you have the Burmeister sound system? If so, open your sound setting (the equalizer with bass/mid/treble), scroll right/left to "Surround Sound" and make sure the surround sound is turned on. I believe that setting is automatically set to "Off" for all new vehicles. I had to turn mine on when I got my C450.

You may also want to pump up the bass and treble a bit with your equalizer to reach your desired sound setting. Also, with the Balance/Fader, you can push your sound up a bit from the center of the cabin closer to the front seats if you want it to be a littler louder up front.

Don't worry your not deaf. The system is DEFINETLY a downfall in my opinion. Not loud enough. Even has issues with bass cutting when going on highway at full blast volume.
Harmon kardon in my bmw was hands down way better clearer and louder. I think only advantage is the depth of the bass in the Benz.

I have to disagree. I just turned in a 2014 E350 Coupe with harmon kardon for a C450 with Burmeister and I actually think my new system is an improvement. It BUMPS and also seems to be pretty crisp.

I'm referring to Harmon kardon in a 2013 3 series. I can't speak for any other make or model.
