If you're in the market for a 2016 Mercedes-Benz C450 AMG 4matic, MotorWeek is always a good place to get the inside scoop.

Saw this a few weeks back when it originally aired. Great of them to get this finished up just in time for it to change over into the C43 and render this a completely worthless review.

The new car is the same car but rebadged, so I am guessing it's not as worthless as you say it is.

Completely different transmission, 3 stage ESP, optional Performance Exhaust, 0.3 seconds faster, different wheel power ratio (negligible). Not really as simple as just "rebadged", but okay.

By the way, the extra ESP setting seems to just be "completely off". I read the C450's settings were on was normal and the C450's "off" setting was actually the C63's "sport" setting, and now the C43 will get those two plus a real "off" setting.

I never understood people getting their panties in a wad over .3 seconds. It's irrelavent in the real world...but to each his/her own I guess.

If the 450 is great (and when I test drove it, it absolutely was), I'm sure the 43 will be too...but there will still be differences worth noting between the two cars. A transmission is a pretty important part of a performance vehicle as far as I'm connected. Whether those difrrences materialize as truly good or bad differences is TBD.
I just find no value of a review of a car that's been out a while, with a number of solid in depth reviews, releasing once the ordering window for the car is already long gone. Pretty silly, but just my $0.02.
