I was actually not using the original screws as I could not get them out of the harness. You might want to use some magnet and let it stick to the screw driver for a day or two. That way, when you use it, the screw might stick to the driver a little.

not sure why I had such a hard time doing this whole process. but after picking up the correct torxdriver(t15)... took me about 2 hours for the entire process including taking apart the dash to access the dvd.

however, if I had to do it again, it wouldn't take me more than 30 mins.

is anyone able to figure out how to change the kph to mph??

Other than eBay, I've also seen the same thing being offered on Aliexpress for slightly cheaper. There is also a Taiwanese vendor showcasing it on YouTube and claimed that they are both the developer and manufacturer, and that you can purchase direct by contacting them. It's interesting to see that some sellers are claiming that this screen thing is made in Korea, and then there are others telling you that it's made in either China or Taiwan.

I'd speculate that there are copycats out there for this upgrade? I'm trying to find one that's the real deal without iffy quality if possible.

I lost all sound to my Burmeister. Not sure if anyone else has experienced this or if it's even related to the screen replacement. It was after Service B by the dealership.

Any similar experiences or thoughts on what it could be??

Anyone have any updates on this? FB page no longer valid.
I'm curious to know if they've created one for those of us with the multimedia package already... It's still a larger screen and the split screen view is cool...

I thought so too. You could see both original screen and navigation or whatever you want to display.

2016 C180
Question

my 2016 C 180 comes without rear view camera, or Navigation (the car doesn't even have the SD card slot in the arm rest box).
my car is Audio CD20 only (no command).

my questions are:
1- is it possible to add a rear view camera to my car?
2- how will I connect to the screen?
3- is this screen come with a SD card slot for navigation?

appreciate your reply

If it has Audio 20, I don't see why it would not work.

It switches between the aftermarket screen and original Mercedes screen. Your Garmin nav is in the original screen, so the 2 do not intermingle. They work independently.

I have had a cluster f*** of a time. Got the unit from a member here. The mounts to hold the screw were damaged which he assured me would be fine. Well after I damaged the speaker grill removing it (I am a dope). The screw fell off while placing the screen in and into the car. Beautiful start to a Sunday morning. Not sure where the screw went or what it's gonna mess up.

you should have only inserted the screw after the screen was placed in. But it's not the end of the world. I myself lost a screw while installing it. It was like a black hole. But it doesn't rattle or anything, so i just ignore it. The speaker grill you can get one from aliexpress or ebay. So, things are not always as bad as they may seem.
