C43 Sedan Configurator up on Canadian site
Priced out the vehicle to my current C450 spec and its actually cheaper by a few hundred dollars. The LED lighting system package now includes AHA and active LED for only $900 versus a $1200 option just for the active LED and a few hundred more for AHA...

2018 C43 Cabriolet
You're correct ,surprisingly , the change in nomenclature and 1 model year newer ,hasn't increased the price at all . I'm waiting for c43 cabrio in 3 months - hopefully wont add more than about $5,000 to sedan ?

Now just to wait for the c43 coupe to show up on the site so I can get a feel for how much I'm getting dinged on my coupe order... But glad the sedan didn't take a big increase. Figure an extra $3000 for the coupe vs sedan.

But overall, I'm impressed that MB is holding the line on the price even with the low $cdn.

If you look at Edmunds or TrueCar, for what those sites are worth, any similarly-equipped sedan of the German three should actually get out the door for basically the same amount.

C base price is higher than either of the other cars; in fact, it's the highest in this class. So, no, they pretty much can't do anything but hold the line or the car won't be competitive.

Which is a shame. After driving all three, the C class really deserves to be in a class of its own.

I see now so it's basically a trend of simplifying and reducing the amount of titles. That's how i see it anyway. Gone are the days of engine displacement being the title or incorporated within the title

I wonder why no C43 coupe yet? The 2017 C300 coupe has been on the site for some time and way more news about the coupe C43 then the sedan but the sedan makes it onto the site first?

The Coupe is a completely new vehicle, the sedan is just a 450 with a 9 speed and a few additional options.

Yes completely new, but the c300 coupe is also completely new and has been on the site for a long time. But guess they released them earlier... Oh well order is in anyway, just want to price it out lol

320,328d, 330i replacing 328i, 340i, 335. and then you have the 4 series versions and grandcoupes and 3GT (why do they even build that atrocity) all in basically the same class
mercedes has the c300, 350e, 450 and the 63. and no 350e on the coupe side. so comparatively mercedes has some catching up to do.

its pretty amazing on the bmw side if you count all the other versions and just in the US.

We only get the top engine sizes.
I think BMW started this war with 335 almost 10 years ago. Then Audi answered with S4 by bring it downmarket. BMW answered with M Performance. And MB just won't play until they got really serious with W205 and decides to dilute AMG. First with AMG Sport C450, then just call it C43.
By doing so, I think it stole a lot of sales from BMW/Audi.

Well now everything is up on the site for 2017, including the C63 and C63S coupes, but of course the one I'm waiting for C43 coupe is still MIA... Last one to get added out of the 2017's C Classes just my luck lol

I believe there are way more variants in Europe for all 3 Germans.
