Trailer Hitch - 2015 C300
#2
Its been asked a couple times before and unfortunately one doesn't exist. I've tried asking some of the big manufacturers of most aftermarket hitches (Curt/Uhaul) to see if they would make one but no dice. You can try doing the same and see if it generates any additional interest. Good luck and if you find anything let us know.

My MB dealer is fitting one in my car next week. I wanted the stock one, electric, but they told me they'll change the rear diffusser so i didn't took it. They've got the manual one, which can be fitted making a small cut (that's what they say, we'll see) onto the diffusser. About a 1k €

I know it's not nice, and maybe someone will think it twice after seeing the pics, that's why I posted them. I was told the diffusser should be cutted off precissely 80x60mm (3.15x2.36in), which is obviously very optimistic, right?
My first thought was to order the electric one straight from the factory, but then you have to switch to the regular diffusser, which I don't like either.
And appreciate your concerns, but i agree to disagree. My needs are going to be fine with this car. Riding motorcycles is my #1 hobby today, I do several track days a year, that's why i needed the hook.

Now it's on perhap you could get another rear bumper lower trim (cos let's be honest it's diffusing nothing)
from amazom and trim if to just clear the hook (with smaller clearance now you know exactly where everything rests... ) and install to the bumper, clips and Rivets only so it's pretty easy???
oh and enjoy the bikes..
I do the same and car choice is fine...
Aesthetically it can be tweaked..

I'd only put that hook away and replace the diffusser if i detect any aerodinamic problem. Or if my wife sees the mayhem
In the meantime, i couldn't care less. Honestly, the pics have been made from a very low pov, the only way to see that is if you're on your knees.

Well, after a little digging I found a better solution for those who, like myself, wanted the amg diffusser and a trailer hitch without having to cut or break anything. Both Thule and Westfalia have the needed hooks to achieve this.
After I made a complain to my dealer for not having warned me about the existance of these possibilities (both brands make specific accesories for MB), they've accepted to replace my actual trailer hitch for one of those, so no more diffusser drama, as they're mounting me a new one
