Well my car just isn't here yet, it's been at the Baltimore port for a month already.. It was produced on time on August 8th.. Baltimore or about a 5 hour drive from here so I can't imagine it being in transport.. There is definitely something holding it up

It makes you sound like a toddler crying for his/her pacifier. If you're so impatient, maybe you should drive down to Baltimore and give them a piece of your mind. It's annoying to read the same crap in multiple threads.

i dont blame you. when i ordered my car, i have to ask a couple of people online to check on my car status. my salesman is not very friendly. haha

since my c43 sedan is going to sit for so long at port, should I just cancel it and reorder another one so it gets any new updates during production since it will get here at the same time as the original order? Do you guys think having a later build in the assembly line will be better built?

 

It could be better. but we don't know for sure. I have no idea how often they update their production line. New updates or fixes may be out every month, but it is random depending on the priority.

Also, you need to figure out if there's an open allocation your dealer is willing to give you.

I would say don't bother ordering another one...

I know the new cars don't come with the acoustic glass on the front anymore. but I think I will just live with it.

I checked mine and it doesn't say that. If that's the case, I might go ahead and put in another order just to have that...

My current C300 has acoustic glass but the dealer won't retrofit (swap) them for me.

 

Its a sedan US market. this is what my sales guy emailed me for my build ,another thing that was surprising is it has illuminated door sills, and that ambient lighting is a $310 extra option (since i didn't get premium 3 or leather):

Mine was August 1 decade build. It looks like they are putting the acoustic glass back!

 

Just hit up my SA to see if this is on my Coupe order (placed 7/14, for a build late this month)...and if not, to see if I can add it. Will report back.

 

When was your build date? I'm curious if mine will come with acoustic glass ? My build date was August 16

 

I have a sedan on order. My build date of September 12th includes acoustic glass in my build sheet. I assume you should have that too.

 

My build date of August 2nd does not have it. Uh...I have talked to another dealership, they say acoustic glass should come as standard.

 

Stupid question...but do you know if this is for Sedans only? Or Coupes too?

Asking bc I want to know if I should challenge my dealer if he comes back saying it's not standard.

 

That's odd because I remember when configuring the build at the dealership there was no option to add it manually, it automatically gets added after the build is configured and updated. Even my sales rep was confused at first by that.

When was the last time your build was confirmed to be updated (adding an accessory or something else)? Maybe that played a role somehow. Hopefully it is included in your build and its a mistake by your dealer.

 

My build doesn't state acoustic glass either and I have the P04 package on my c43 sedan...as I said earlier August 16 build date.. It better just be a typo since I have to wait so long for the release from port

 

Or you'll do what...complain to us some more?

My car has been built and my dealer gave me the full build sheet of my car and it doesn't say acoustic glass. It was very very early - almost the first batch of C43s. Aug 2nd was the build date.
