I can't believe we're having this conversation. You "waffle knit microfiber cloth" people are like religious people. Just can't stand that people don't do what you do. I'm not trying to make you use newspaper, so why do you guys have such a hard on for this micro waffle cloth crap?

Oh and FYI, I don't get a newspaper delivered either since I'm pretty sure no one has in the last decade (way to sound like an extra huge douche on that one btw), but my mailman loves to stuff newspaper adds in my mailbox all day long. So my final thought for you: Think outside of the box.

Agreed. Good microfiber holds more liquid, is lint-free, and will not cause scratches. Newspaper falls apart when wet, is not lint free, and it doesn't have the electrostatic charge that microfiber does which causes dirt to be lifted up from the surface, instead of just dragged across it. To prove this, try wiping the brake dust from your wheels using a dry cloth or paper...then use microfiber...and see which works better.

True. I have used newspaper and find that while it does work, the paper falls apart when wet and requires additional cleaning. I currently am using a very fine microfiber cloth, which is at least as effective and much cleaner to use.

This is not rocket science ... use what works for you.

One big tip is to never use a cloth that has had fabric softener applied to it. If you use fabric softener buy new cloths and never use fabric softener on them. The softener leaves a layer of petro-chemical crap that attracts everything and will almost instantly leave a smeared window look after drying.

Why do you have brake dust on the inside of your windshield? This is about cleaning just a bit of haze on the windows, not heavy dirt or brake dust.

Man you guys take this stuff serious.

Why do you have problems with comprehension at times? Could you not decipher my brake dust challenge was an example to show microfibers electrostatic charge?

Microfiber is superior to newspaper when cleaning glass, or any other surface...simple as that.

Obviously.

What I am saying is, why do you need that much cleaning capability on the inside of your windshield? It's completely obvious that microfiber is far and beyond superior to pretty much any cloth, let alone newspaper, but I just don't see why it's needed in this case. How dirty is the glass inside your car? Mine only ever has a bit of a haze on it so it just needs a quick wipe with ANYTHING that doesn't leave streaks or remnants; Hence why newspaper is a great option. Use it and toss it. DONE. No need for washing a towel.

My comprehension is just fine but looks as though yours could use some work

I can't believe I'm even answering this question...because microfiber will do a better job, and do it more quickly.

In my experience, I've found microfiber does a better job than paper when removing the stubborn film from inside a car's windshield...I can even use it dry and not even have to deal with a glass cleaner, required if you use newspaper. Microfiber doesn't just smear the film around like paper does...thus requiring less work on my part.

I don't see how, you're the one insisting on the use of an inferior product...but whatever.

It's hilarious how you just won't give it up.

I'm going to take a picture of me using newspaper on my glass and PM it to you so you have nightmares for the rest of your life

Just be sure to be wearing clothing in the picture...or you'd be right about the nightmares.

Thanks! Many have found it useful when determining what options to get when purchasing their C450.

Happy New Year!

See, due to your once again, lack of comprehension, I knew you'd say that.

But the difference is I don't care what you use. I never made claims that one or the other is superior. I even admitted to you that microfiber is the superior medium. I'm just saying newspaper is perfectly fine. But you can't stop with your whole "If you don't use microfiber waffle **** pattern triple awesome weave, then you're doing it wrong" argument.

So yes, tis hilarious.

Edit- damn this forum even sensors "c.o.c.k."? WTF!

I have the same. It's a wand about 2 ft long with a microfiber pad on the end. Works great. I got mine on Groupon

The best or nothing
Buy a special glass cleaning microfiber with diamond pattern, it works much better than the regular one. I use them inside & outside plus headlights.
