Smile Newbie here w/ question

Hi everyone

I'm new here and don't know if this is the right place to ask question? If not, pls let me know, thanks.
I got the 2015 C300 2 years ago for my family. Apparently we seldom drive that car and put on only 4000 miles so far. Nonetheless, we brought in the car for service A last year on June when it had 2200 miles on it. Just this week the service B light pop up on the screen, should we bring it to the dealer again or should we wait? As I thought the car doesn't need the service B until it hit 10000 miles? Any advise? Thank you in advance. Have a nice evening!

Mercedes benz c300 2015
you need to the car serviced every year or 10K miles (which ever comes first). You should understand what is included in a service B before you get it. I provided an example of what denver mercedes benz includes in their service but this may not be the same for your service dealer. If you ask me, you can skip service B and just opt for an oil change, unless money is indifferent to you. You barley put miles on it to get any service done to it beside an oil change

Thank you for the information! I agree that the car won't need the full service B yet this time, but I will go ahead to have the oil change.

No problem. You might also want to handle this issue too when you setup an appointment. knocking two birds out with one stone.

Personally, I disagree with that. Service A is basically an oil change and service B is an oil change + brake fluid flush. Why would anybody want an oil change if it's only a few thousand miles. I wouldn't even do service A if I were you. But I guess it's just me.

I see your point, but I think the oil need to be changed every year regardless of the low mileage?

Just think moisture and other contaminants can still build up in the oil throughout the year. Correct me if I'm wrong.

With your mileage, I would do A on year 2 (~4K mi) and B on year 4 (~8K mi). Anything more than that is overkill. Of course frequent oil changes do not hurt the engine so go for it if you must.
