c300 door unable to open from inside, cable too long?
Hi Everyone,

I have a strange situation, my driver side passenger back door unable to open from inside, I thought it is as simple as broken handle, I bought the panel from Ebay paying 150 ..... well the story end up is not that simple... after install the new panel which has a good handle.... it is still not working... the handle pulling the cable a little bit.... but not enough to open the door......

can anyone explain this situation.... I can only explain somehow the cable became longer than it should be......

I did try to fix the broken handle before buying the replacement from ebay by tie the cable to the broken handle using a small wire.... but didnt' work... not sure if I make the cable longer during that process....

child lock..... yes I didn't check that....

will do that right now going to the parking lot.... but it probably not the case... because the handle is still loose up....

checked it.... it is not the child lock.... after thinking about it a bit more.... it does make sense that not clamping the cable won't work because things should be loosen up... it is one of those things you miss one simple step and everything is not working.... can't wait to try again tonight

Fixed
Did mount the cable onto the clamp

It is working now. Save a few bucks from body shop. Also could have save 150 from eBay using the tie to wire solution. Well happy ending at least
