You know I know that you own a C450, a six in any form are cool enough, but V8 are bigger. Just that most people here can't afford the.

If you still don't have a clue, here goes. Yes, I know V8 is a "BIG" engine over there, it is here as well. But it ain't a usual sight on the roads.

Back on topic. I just thought of another small annoyance. If you equip a vehicle to play DVDs (for those with COMAND), why only use the older technology SD player? Blu-ray has been around for over 10 years now, and would have added what...like $15 to the total cost of the vehicle?

What annoys me is why you cannot adjust the lighting in the cluster without dimming the buttons in console doors etc. It gets so freaking dark, not a big fan of the ambient lighting either. It's light years behind S and E

The formats were all developed independently of each other for different purposes so there's no inherent backward compatibility, or cross compatibility. CD was a 2 channel audio format only, never intended for video (or as a reusable storage media at first.) DVD was intended to supplant VHS, not to serve as a transition to BluRay.
BluRay was developed primarily to fix a security problem with DVD, which had proven itself way too easy to rip and share, and to ride the wave of HDTV sales, which in 2008/9/10 everyone was buying in anticipation of the sunset of analog broadcasts TV nation wide.
It didn't work from a security standpoint. While you can lock the BR signal chain thru HDMI, and scramble the BR disc structure so that only an authorized player with a key can unscramble it, any PC with a BluRay optical drive can bypass all of that entirely by simply playing back the movie internally and making a bit for bit copy as an MKV file, playable in full hi res on pretty much any software based player. My $49 Amazon Fire TV, after a minor hack, can play back in full resolution a BluRay rip from a local hard drive).
For that reason and the frailty of optical discs in general, physical media in all forms (CD/DVD/BR) is dying. I'd be surprised if in the near future an optical player of any type is included at all. So enjoy your slot while you still have it. Which was also the advice our pastor gave us at our wedding. I'm kidding. It was just to me, later, at the reception.

Here are a couple of mine:
1. Odd fitment of the rear bumper where it meets the rear quarter panels.
2. Dash layout not conducive to phone holders. (VERY few exceptions)
3. Not a huge fan of having both the touch pad AND the wheel. Not sure what they were thinking (don't want to look too much like BMW?) about putting a touch pad in the exact spot where you would rest your palm to use the wheel. (Yes I know you can disable it).
4. Poor app development. Mercedes Me? Never finds my car, never starts my car and never sends directions to my car. MBRACE works though and they're discontinuing it soon? Alllllllllrighty then!
I am sure there are more that will come to me. For what it's worth from what others have said, I fully agree about the missing Apple CarPlay, inability to disable Eco Start/Stop and the missing ability to set AC/heat, heated seats and defrost/defog with the remote start.

I don't think there is a minimum temperature for the seats to heat. You can define in the car menu (center console) if you want to heat both or one seat. Not sure if you can switch them both off.
If you set the timer, it starts 15 minutes before the programmed time and stops approximately 5 minutes after.
It uses the last set temperature of the climate system.
You can set the timer in the car (center) menu or with the web app (if you have a subscription).
I hope you enjoy the car when you get it.
I love it and driving it already for 19 months.

after a full year of ownership........
hate how you get fingered is the anus when going to the dealer for anything other than warranty service.
hate how long the command system takes in starting (when entering vehicle). it's a luxury car, time to include a SSD in that worthless media player.
ummmm, does anyone ever use the middle MENU button in the center console? i hate how the button that is placed in the most ergonomical place (right down the middle) actually takes you to a menu where simple things like raising/lowering temperature takes several clicks on the wheel.
You can completelly bypass the middle MENU button by just...........using the 4 buttons to the left it. LOL.

And how you keep the interior warm for at least 30 minutes after leaving the car?
How fast do you want your Comand to respond on startup? As soon as i drive away (and believe me, that is usually within 15 seconds after turning on the ignition) i see the map and can enter an address.
Even without an SSD that is fast enough for me. Unless your destination lies within one minute of your departure.

Oh, tell me how you link the left and right temperature setting without the menu.

i hate waiting so much, i even installed a SSD in my ps4pro. i don't even have time to play it, but when i do, it better be fast.

I figured it out. It's literally an extra $10,000 per cylinder (since a car is a car) but you're willing to pay it because you hate 4 bangers so much. So what does the "1.8t" in your username stand for?
It's like if my user name was MidgetDick5215 but I swore up and down I had a huge *****. (My username is NOT MidgetDick5215. Because that name wasn't available when I joined).

Anyways, back on topic:
I hate how there was no (maybe there was but I didn't see it so correct me if I'm wrong) option for rear parking sensors. I mean, at least there is a backup camera, but sensors added with a camera is a really nice combo.
