Bluetooth connectivity problems
Hi
I have never had a problem connecting my iPhone 6 but I have a new iPhone (7) and it just won't pair, despite me trying everything. The phone is not at fault as it will let me pair with other items. My old phone will still connect.
Do I have to remove the old phone from the cars memory, as I think it will only hold one in its memory bank. If this is the case how do I do it please.
If anyone has the answer, could I have instructions for a simpleton please?
My car is a ML320 CDI on a 57 plate

What happens is Apple does an update that changes the way BT interacts with the car in some minor way and then Mercedes doesn't catch up, so suddenly the phone that paired perfectly before the update now can't connect or stay connected. If history is an example, it'll stay that way.

Thanks for asking - and solution is SIMPLE - delete "old" profile in the MB system - turn system off - turn system back on on - and re-sync the phone that has the "new" update ..

Yeah, tried all that in my 221 S Class. Nothing worked. Even disconnected and reconnected the battery to hard reboot COMAND. But my other cars had no problem syncing after the update. Worth a shot though.

I believe the W221 S-Class used the infamous "puck" in the center console - correct ?
I am unclear how "Puck" experience relates to Modern-Day - it was kindof Middle Ages for Bluetooth back then
