Bought An OEM Mercedes Benz Jack Kit For My C450
I didn't feel comfortable driving a long distance without a jack & spare, and I'm not a fan of the tire sealant/pump option, so since I own 2 sets of OEM AMG wheel sets (I plan on using one of the fronts from the set I'm not using at the time as the spare), all I needed then was a jack set that would fit in the storage compartment in the trunk.
So after conducting some research, I found that Mercedes actually sells a jack set for the C Class (A205: 09/16 - , C205: 12/15 - , S205: 09/14 - , W205: 03/14 - ), part #A2055800100 which sells online at MBonlineparts.com for only $69.30 plus shipping, but I was actually able to get my local MB dealership to almost match that price at $79.69 total with tax. Kit includes jack, jack base, lug wrench, wheel chock, lug alignment tool, gloves, and the tool kit bag itself. Peace of mind...priceless!

WTF! I paid about half that for a friggin piece of rubber the size of a credit card for this car!
Good call on the peace of mind. I plan on doing the same when/if I ever take this car on a significant drive.
At first I thought you had to have spent somewhere in the $200-300 range considering all the parts and the MB surcharge. And at that point I was going to say you're crazy and you should have just grabbed a jack out of your other car or got one out of a junkyard for $10. But considering everything you get for what you actually paid, not bad at all. Not bad at all.

I still feel though this jack set should have come standard with the car.
Before showing the online price of the jack set to my local MB dealership, they quoted me a price of $135 !
If anybody is interested in a space saver spare or the bag that secures it in the trunk, here are the part numbers & online prices...
Space saver spare - A2054000100 - $301.50
Spare tire bag - A0005850000 - $121.00

When I say I own two sets, I mean the set of 18" black AMG 5 star wheels/tires that came stock with my C450 (which I use as my Winter set), and an OEM take off set of 19" silver AMG mutispoke wheels/tires that I bought off ebay (which I use as my Summer set).
It was tough to find a set of OEM 19" multispoke wheels on ebay that fit the C450 because those require an offset of ET38 for the front wheels since the C450 shares some of it's front suspension parts with the C63.

Does the "space saver tire" (part A2054000100) include both the rim and tire? Also, does it fit flushly in the spare tire compartment under the trunk floor cover?
Thanks

i just got this kit too in canada but for more money. it's a great little jack and the whole pack fits in the trunk nicely so that's extra good.
but what is that base plate for? i couldn't figure it out and didn't end up using it.

i didn't see a response to the following question, "Any idea if the space saver would clear the front calipers that are bigger in sport trims?" has anyone verified that the space saver clears the front calipers?

I went ahead and purchased the setup as listed above, the jack works good but the space saver wheel does not fit on the front (does not clear the caliper), ugh!! I have an appointment next week with a custom wheel & tire place, and they are going to see if a spacer will give the clearance needed to clear the caliper. Since it is for emergency purposes only I would be good with this approach, if the spacer does not work, the space saver tire goes back.

The space saver tire was sent back, did not fit. Ordered a cheap wheel & a non-directional tire (mounted & balanced) from a online tire store that will fit all for corners, and will put in the trunk for long distance drives

205-400-01-00: This was a 17" space saver spare wheel, all the online MB parts pages indicates that it was a fit for the C450. The guy at the local custom wheel & tire shop said it needed to be at least an 18" space saver spare wheel, makes sense to me. I be interested in the outcome of your order.

Hmm! Interesting I have checked a couple of the On-line MB Part sites and didn't see any fitment information(other than ECU...), i guess i may have to call a couple of MB places see what they say. Even if it fits in the trunk, I would like to know what size space saver tire fits in the tire well.

Looks like this is a spare wheel well for a C55/CLK63 W209. The guy used it to help install a true duel exhaust on his W209. When i use the "does it fit my vehicle" pull downs on the ECS tuning site, it says it will fit my 2016 C450. I have my doubts though.

Yea that wheel well install is way more time and skill than I have, nice info though, man. I be happy to find a space saver tire, that fits the front. Thinking maybe a AMG Spare Tire 18" WHEEL 125/70/18 2044014702.
