Driver Assistance Pack - Distroinic Plus - does this always include steering assist?

I'm about to buy a w205 which has the driver assistance package. It's a June 2015 UK production.

I can't work out whether that model year has the full distronic plus WITH steering assist, or just the basic distronic plus WITHOUT steering assist?

I am looking for the cruise control to also keep the car in the lane.

How would I tell?

There is a small button near the light switch, of a car in a lane, but that's all. For the full steering with distronic plus solution, should the car also have the little button of the steering wheel?

On the oasis print out it details, if this helps:

DP2 Driving Assistance Package
239 DISTRONIC PLUS
22P Lane tracking package
234 Blind spot assist

Thanks in advance!

I have a Dutch model of October 2015 and it was included in the package long before that.
Don't know if the UK models have the same package config.

Best thing would be to test drive the car.
You should see a little grey steering wheel in the center display that turns green as soon as the steering assist picks up something to follow.

Sorry for the Dutch text but here the button and the sign in the center is shown
It only works when Distronic is active.

.
Steering assist is never another button. It activates with the distronic.

edit: meant to say it turns on with the distronic

Early UK cars had assist that vibrated and applied brakes to keep you in lane, later cars, MY17 I think, had the full self steering thing enabled.

my car is MY15 and didn't have the version of assist now available hence why I didn't get it.

My 16 has a button that activates/deactivates steering assist independently of the adaptive cruise. I keep it off unless I'm in a traffic jam.

I'm not sure that is correct. I have a MY16. I think the button turns on/off steering assist when distronic is off. I have the button in the off position, when I activate distronic, steering assist is active (as indicated by the green steering wheel on the center display) while the button remains unlit.

Ha, I wasn't sure either and did the same. I suppose we could actually crack open the manual but what fun is that?

Better to just push the buttons or flip the switches and see what happens!

Can't speak for the UK but my August 2015 build has the package and full driving assist. The car will drive autonomously for about one minute when activated before telling me to put my hands back on the wheel.

I'm fascinated by pilots. Just the ability to manage so much stuff simultaneously under pressure. Sometimes I'll just sit and watch YouTube videos made by commercial jet pilots of their take offs and landings. Very cool.

I exaggerate of course! But there were a few times when I flew B-1Bs, that we would get unannounced software updates (this is when the jet was new). You'd run systems up and go, WTF over!. That switch didn't do that last time! I wonder what else they changed. Lol

That's why I'd never be a pilot. Sometimes I forget to put the car in "Park" before I try to get out of it. I imagine that, but at 30,000 feet.
