Or it started actually earlier today, but here are a warm recommendation on a hotel. Hotel Böhler.
What tommorrow brings I don't know, but I am scheduled to pick up our new car and drive it home. So far the german hospatality has been german and warm, and by that I mean the weather. As a guy almost living at the nights watch this is scorching. But the hotel is a good niner, and with plenty of restaurants, good beer and a nice staff. This one sets off with a good start. To be continued.......

I've been there.. very nice.. the only thing I didn't like was it has a strange smell in the closets of the rooms..I couldn't quite put my finger on the scent but the only other time I have ever smelled something like that was in a hotel in the high arctic

It has been a nice day, weather was warm and just the way I like it. Anyhow, factory tour, seen S Classes and Maybach under assembly. Though they deliver in average 500 cars a day the place never feel crouded, not one que and serviceminded people. Lunch was very good as Norwegian salmon always is 😉 And our guy showing us our new car, they stored pur luggage and brought it when I got the car and this car runs on rails. 800 km first day, it's been a please, except that they had forgotten window washer, the car looks like a bug trap. I also talked ro a guy who was there on a ED. So now I am gonna bomb the thread with some pics not relevant ro 205, but the one 205 I have picture of is mine

Hm, I believe you err with regard to context, but no matter.
The bear spied the plucky little Norwegian and took off at a trot....he'd not had a good lutefisk in months, but he remembered his valsalva method.

Was your stay at the Hotel Böhler part of the Mercedes European Delivery package? Or did you make your own reservations? When we took delivery of our C280 (W203) in Sept. 2006 (see my Signature, below!), Mercedes put us up in the Steigenberger Hotel across the square from the Hauptbahnhof in the center of Sruttgart. I understood that Mercedes always used that hotel. While the Steigenberger was an impressive business hotel, the room we got was tiny, dark, and old-fashioned. The rooms at the Hotel Böhler look much nicer, as shown on their website. Never mind - when the giant doors marked Exit/Ausfahrt slid open and I drove out onto the streets of Sindelfingen and then onto the autobahn (with my German wife beside me), that was one of the happiest moments of my life. I greatly regretted that I was not able to repeat that experience when I purchased my present C300.

Not really, it just goes with the polar bear leitmotif, like "Norwegian salmon." (Albeit Chauvanistic.)
For example, "the polar bear spied the fat American tourist and took off at a trot...he'd not had a Big Mac in months....(something is lost in this context)."

Just gonna up date an other thread that went ahole.
Anyway, the drive home from Germany was a nice experience, the car has been a dream to drive. Comfortable and not my legs didnt get tired or acking as on many other cars.
Car is now home in its garage, plugged in and now my hood won't close..... So where was that Buick Roadmaster?

My ride is near perfect, no aching legs.
But, then, I'm a fat American existential tourist.

Now lets hear another polar bear joke

Somewhere in the high Arctic, at a super secret Mercedes Svalbard facility, the German engineer dropped a seal carcass into the polar bear's cage, knowing in an hour or so he'd have several million BTU's to run the experimental engine....
