Ticking in the cabin could be anything. Remove everything from the car, coins storage under floor items etc and if it's still there Have someone else drive the car while you're in the back so you can trace the noise.

I removed everything. it is coming from the speaker area. It is worse in good roads when all the other cabin noises are minimal or non-existent I can hear the rattle. It is like two pieces of hard plastic colliding. Sometimes it last 3 or 5 minutes only. Usually during the first couple of miles.

I removed everything and had my wife drive me. it is coming from the speaker area. might be from the belt too. Sometimes it last 3 or 5 minutes only. Usually during the first couple of miles. no matter what I press I cannot mute it. it mutes on its own after driving a few minutes. driving me crazy!

HAHAHA I can assist with this one
I just came back from this fix LOL
it's coming from the trunk area. Just need to get your service advisor to stuff a bunch of felt tape in the area. They need to take away the panels. that put felt behind and around that area. Best way to test it is to take it around and hide the little speed bumps located in lane dividers. Easy fix good luck

thanks l3gendary! that is the first area they checked. I also put felt around the cable and removed the towing thing. I agree it is from that area, but still can't fix it. service department removed everything and they couldn't fix it either.
glad that work for you

it took a few tries from my service department too. But I'm pretty confident we have the same thing. They showed me where it was after all the panels were removed sorry I didn't take a pic at that time. It's not the cable. It's within that device that has a few plastic components touching each other (like rivets etc)...they put felt tape all around those plastic components (not around the cable) and that was the only way to get it. They just stuffed a crap load of felt tape within that compartment and somehow that was the solution
