2015 C300 door ajar warning

Tested a cla250 and the door warning appears immediate when the engine is on and the door is opened. Why is there a diacrepancy? Why mercedes has this feature in cla250 but not in c300. With kids I am worried if they did not close the door properly and I have to drive to find out the door is not closed then there is definitely a safety issue. Anyone in the same boat?

Has anyone filed a dealer report to complain?
Maybe it's actually NOT supposed top do this and Mercedes doesn't realize it effects all cars inn our line!!!
I mean this is a basic warning in even the cheapest cars since the 90s.
That being said , you left a door open then proceeded to drive through an object and somehow you manage to blame your dealership for it ?
I apologize since this might be annoying but I would be ashamed to discuss this while asking for free repairs, I would complain then pay for the damages.
You left the door open then drove , let that sink in.
you gotta child proof the car if you think they might do something dangerous.
