LED door handle light replacement
1. Remove/install the door trim
2. Remove/install the window glass (easier than I thought)
3. Remove/install door handles
Once those are done you can access the $15 door led. *sigh* then Install in reverse order.
PRO TIP: use chrome browser which has a save/print to PDF built-in to save the docs to your computer.
By the way, removing the door trim is actually the easiest part.

I may do a DIY led install myself later.

**Sample attached**
EDIT: I actually have to remove my passenger side door lining today to swap my aftermarket spinning tweeter (back to OEM), before I bring my car in to get the door led fixed. I don't want the tech to accidentally damage it if he needs to remove it for the led install.

The Best of Mercedes & AMG

#6 A099-820-01-83 light control element
They could easily redesign this so the led bulb and base are separate. Then all you do is remove the door handle and pull the led out of the base and insert a new one. Issue solved.

but hey what do i know, i sit at a desk and input data all day. not like i could build a car better myself...

However, the tech just printed up the following sheets:
- remove/install front door lining
- remove/install back door lining
- remove/install crank window in front door
- remove/install door module
- remove/install door rear module

According to service centre they think that Mercedes have upgraded the LED bulb to a more durable one but part number has remained the same. Just a pain that I have to go back and either get 1 re replaced or 3 replaced, just appreciate that its on Warranty.

Cool white leds around 5000k (actually looks very white, tiny tiny hint of blue) is what is desirable, but are not provided. My car is diamond white and i can see the yellow light from my handles.
MB may have replaced the hotter cool white leds with warm white to circumvent the burnout issue.
