'16 C450 AMG won't start in S+
I've read that if you leave your car in Sport+ when you turn it off, it should restart in S+ for up to Four hours. Mine won't do it even if I restart it 30 seconds later. Any Ideas?
Thanks

Frankly - I don't know where you "read this" - and the correct prior reply outlined - when you restart your MB by default it restarts in Comfort.
MB dealer cannot change this - there are vendors on eBay - the best one Vladimir from Belarus - that have a OBD module that can reprogram your MB to start up in the last profile it was in when turned off last time.
That's how you get what you want... keep the beat !

what you can do however, to get a nice sounding start, just push the button start twice, with foot off the brake pedal, switch from comfort mode to S+, then put the foot on the brake and start the car..... it will burple and sound rad.... then you can just go right into drive... you get used to doing this if you make a habit of it. thats pretty much how i start my C450 90% of the time now.

I have a 2018 C43 which does retain it's Dynamic settings for 4 hours. I set it to Sport+ drive, turn the car off, lock it and walk away. I can come back restart it and it will remain in Sport+ as long as I restarted it within 4 hours of turning it off. I have a 2015 C300 estate which also behaved this way. My wife drives a 2019 (two weeks old) C200 sedan, with the new digital dash, it also retains it's settings for 4 hours. I am in Australia, perhaps the cars are programmed diferently in different regions.

as others have mentioned, yes, it doesn't automatically save itself in this mode.

yea pretty much... lol, i love turning heads and i feel like most people are surprised to hear how aggressive these cars can sound (considering they dont look like an exotic by any means - at least not to my standards)
