Tensioners changed still making same noise


Thought maybe the chains been stretched,

Brougt it to mercedes they said it has somthing to do with the fuel and filter or somthing with a pin causing the rattling and ticking.

They are still investigating before i bring it back again.

Anyone here had the same problem?

I read your post and was about to say I have the same problem, but then I listened to your video and holy ****. Mine has a couple second light rattle from a cold start, kind of like a loose heat shield underneath? Yours sounds terrible (no offense). Please let us know what the dealership says

Really out of solutions.... this only happends when the car is warm, there no way to show to mechanics cause it only happends when the car is park for another 20 mins

What’s your oil level at? Full? Maybe the head is starved for a few seconds until oil pressure builds

Dude, that sounds horrible. If they can't find out what the issue is, go to another dealer. That engine sounds like it's being destroyed.

Brought i car in to MB Durham

Work order attached:

When I got the car back there was still little rattle but not as bad as before, so whatever they did maybe helped a little

2 days go by the rattle progressily grew louder until it was back to the original rattle

Similar sound from my 2015 C400 with 107k miles. Camshaft Adjuster issue. Cost $3,300 and took 50 days to get the parts in from Germany. This used to be my favorite car, ever.
