2019 Facelift C Class w205 body kit fits pre-facelift models(2015-2018)?

Hey Guys,

I searched information regarding this subject but i could not find anything.
I own a C Class w205 (2015) 220d sedan and love the new look on the facelift model from 2018-2019. I would like to know if the OEM body kit of the new facelift model can be fitted to the pre-facelift models.
The front bumper is much nicer (E Class style) while the rear bumper is very similar to the previous model.
Are there any aftermarket manufacturers for bumpers and skirts for the facelift model?

I didn't realize the facelifted front looked like the E-Class'.
I'd be interested as well, since I would need to replace my slightly damaged front bumper anyway. I still can't decide which one I like better however. I definitely prefer the diamond grille though.

It fits.

Did my front-end conversion earlier this month.

Just some minor caveats to note:

1. Wire harness for Collision Assist sensors (the ones previously on the left/right inlets) needs to be extended for placement on facelifted bumper.

2. Custom bracket (installed behind the bumper) needed to secure Collision Assist electronic module on new bumper.

THANK YOU! Looks good. Do you happen to know the part numbers? Did you purchase and have it installed at MB?

The main bumper shell is A2058802305 but you will also need to order a multitude of ancillary parts like the L/R side duct covers, L/R inlet slate covers, bottom-centre plastic grille etc.

I went through a specialist bodyshop who had access to the MB spare parts database because it is near impossible for a layman to collect all the correct part numbers off the web.

Also, some parts differ according to your configuration options - i.e. bumper with/without 360-degree camera, so you may have to choose from 4 or 5 possible part numbers for a single part.

You're awesome! Maybe because it's so new, but I cannot seem to find part numbers of facelift models on several databases yet. I could go to a specialized bodyshop if there's one around me AND prices are not 2-3x more than European/American prices like they always are here in Australia... Not the facelift bumper but a local MB dealership quoted USD1,100 for just the replacement front bumper shell, USD900 for paint & installation, and USD550 for black spoilers. So typical. I can get the bumper shell for USD560 and the spoilers for USD280 from Europe and have an indy shop paint and install them for under USD400.

Aside from the lol hearing suv and improve aerodynamics... Those bodykits are based on designs like dtm/ amg black series and are designed to catch air and push the car down, not to improve aerodynamics

This looks great! Good job there mate 👍🏽
I've bought a OEM facelift front end. In the process of installing.

Regarding the fitting issues you described;

Do you know what is involved in extendinh the parking sensors? I see that they are just 2 wire plugs. Did you simply cut and solder extra wire in between?
And also did your original factory undertray line up and fit okay?

Thanks

I'm in Australia too!
In the process of the front end conversation. Did you go through with yours?

I didn't witness the actual process and simply took their mentioned "need to extend the sensor wiring" to mean splice/insert extra wire/solder for a lengthened contraption.

Yes, the factory inner tray from the old bumper can be swapped over and attached to the new bumper.

Great!
Thanks for the prompt reply
Good to know the original undertray will fit.

Also regarding
"2. Custom bracket (installed behind the bumper) needed to secure Collision Assist electronic module on new bumper."

Are you referring to the Distronic radar behind the Mercedes star? Or is there a seperate parking sensor module for the front that I assume can be tucked away in the new bumper somewhere safe.

Cheers

Definitely looks like a CLS (218) from the front. Grille and headlights give it a CLS appearance.

Brackets

I’m having a nightmare with this facelift, we’ve managed to extend the wires for the parking sensors but can’t find anywhere to make the brackets for the radar (someone suggested 3D printing but without an existing CAD it’s expensive… Is there an fix for this?

I’m curious about this also! Here’s an update on my comment at the bottom of the thread… The top photo shows the old bumper with the radar and brackets and the bottom is the new bumper and where it should be located… Not sure how to progress from here.

You should be able to modify the original plastic reinforcement/radar sensor holder to fit into the new space and snap it in using most of the original/factory attachment points.

Cool! You're welcome.

You'll need those plastic reinforcement sections installed either way, as they're part of the bumper cover structure.

Good luck!
