RECALL!!! HEADS UP FOR THOSE LIVING IN SALT-BELT STATES
I got this letter from MB last week..since I haven't seen it posted yet I thought I'd give everyone the heads up. I cut out the usual thank you for owning a MB intro and posted the most relevant parts.
SERVICE CAMPAIGN 2019080019
Bolt Replacement on the Steering Rack
Dated 20 January 2020
"...we are writing to inform you about a Service Campaign for vehicles that are driven for extended periods of time in salt-belt states. Certain Mercedes-benz models that are operated in high-corrosion environments with exposure to road salt may experience varying levels of corrosion on specific bolts that are used on the power steering rack. This corrosion, along with certain weighted driving loads, could result in the fracturing of these blots.
To address this situation, we ask that you please contact an authorised Mercedes- Benz dealer who will replace and seal the affected bolts on the steering gear housing cover and on the steering rack. In some extreme cases of erosion, replacement of the power steering rack may be necessary. These repairs are provided free of charge under this Service Campaign.
:..while the repair times for this range from 2 to 9 hours depending on the model, your dealer can provide you with a better estimate of the overall time for this service visit.
Please mention you are scheduling an appointment to replace bolts on the steering rack under Service Campaign # 2019080019
Now there a scary thought huh?

LOL...Why am I not surprised Benzdude already knew that.
So here's another question for you.
I got a very hot 1st date coming up on Saturday. Should I take her to the DIA (museum) first and then to the Motor City Casino OR Casino and then the museum?
Since we'll be in my car it's technically still a car question and you've been right on everything else so far.
So here's another question for you.
