Dash/Centre Console Marble Rolling Sound - Solved

Never noticed it before.
Its driving me crazy....

Sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't.
Notice it on sharp turns mostly in parking lots.
I've emptied the glove box, ash tray, cup holder tray, centre console.

I found some loose change under the ash tray which I thought was the sound, but its not.

Did you remove the centre console. Have someone seat next to you or let him drive the car while you carefully locate the source of the sound.

Happens when accelerating and braking and also when turning.
So whatever is making the sound is moving 4 ways

Now I have fully removed all pieces of the centre console down to the carpet and the sound remains.
I have been doing some reading where other people in different makes/models have had similar issues and all have been from things getting in through the under seat vents and stuck rolling around in there.
Everything from coins, ball bearings and perfume caps.
The saga continues....

Are you sure it's inside the car? Maybe something rolling around inside one of the cats or resonators?

Ended up being something in the passenger side under seat vent.
A small piece of hard plastic tubing that looks like a penne pasta.... No clue where it came from.

I would suggest buying the cheap vent covers to avoid this happening to you.
$10 on ebay will save you a lot of aggravation.

This is why I vacuum under my seats as soon as summer starts.

Vacuum the under the front and then move the seats all the way forward and do under the back.

There is always a single french fry for some reason.

A key is easy though, a magnet will quickly get it out.
This piece of plastic was a nightmare.
Had to jack the front end of the car up to get it to roll back then use chop sticks to pluck it out.
