2020 car and all left-side dash fuses are constant and not switched?

I have seen lots of posts of people using fuses 219 and 204 as switched sources of power for radar detectors and dashcams.

I'm trying to hardwire in a radar detector and it seems that every fuse in the left-side dash fuse panel is constant and not switched.

Am I missing something? The car has Keyless Go. Is power kept on because the key is nearby?

Pics for reference:

You've got a lot of blank spaces in your fuse box.

You may still be able to pull power from 218 or 219. Even if there is no existing fuse there, 12v switched might still be present.

Mine below (the 12v to 5v converter cable for my dashcam is blocking view of the left side fuses):

Just checked. None of the empty spots are hot.

Some systems will stay live for around 10 mins after the ignition is turned off and will power up again when the car is unlocked.

This gives the impression that fuses are constantly live.

same problem, checked both front left and right fuse box on GLC43 2020 and same story with mirror so i cannot use mirror taps any more. Looks like the only option is the fuse box in the trunk?

I use an OBD port power adapter with built in switch for ignition live or permanent live for my dashcam.

nice, looks like a great option! thanks! so frustrating, i spent a day to wire dual dash cam to the trunk. I could not even imagine that front fuse boxes and rear view mirror would not have switched power. If i knew upfront, I would wire RD to the trunk as well but it is too late now and I would hate to do all this work again lol

I’m trying to find always on fuse on my GLC 2020, and can’t find one. The ones that I tried are “false” permanent and stay live for around 60 min. Did you find anything?

P.S.: I have tried fuses in the rear/ trunk fuse box numbered 412 & 416 and they are live for 60 min. I will also try the ones numbered 459 & 460 and post an update.

Did you ever find a solution for this?
