Exclamation 2016 C300 with "20 Rims question

I just bought a set of "20 rims for my c300. They are 20x8.5 (ET +45) Front and 20x10 (ET+50) Rear. I wanted to know if I could fit 245/35/20 tires on the front and 275/30/20 rear. I have seen people fit those size tires before just want to double-check.

Yes those sizes are in an ideal range, things like calculators exist e.g. https://www.tyresizecalculator.com/t...dth-calculator

Thank you for the reply, While I know there are calculators for that, What I really wanted to know was with the offsets would rub using those tires' size. I know the tires would fit but would they rub?

A C43 on 19" still has plenty of room in the wheel arches, a swap to LP 20" tyres is only a 1.5% increase on the front and 1.9% on the rear so it should be just fine.

thank you very much! Also, do you believe there is any advantage to using wider wheels? At first, the guy told me to use 225 on the front and 255 on the rear, but I was told I could use up to 245 on the front and 275 on the rear.

Here is a link to the rims I bought, They are going on a black c300:

On a C300? Not so much, 225 and 255 is more than enough. it's what they're using on a C43. On a more powerful car the wider the tyre and stiffer the sidewall the better the handling and acceleration would be.

I've also got a 2016 C300. Are you going from 18" to 20"?

Yes, I have the stock 18" on it right now, and am putting 20" on it. I also had another 2015 c300 before and had 19" but they looked too small so 20" it is!

By going up to 19" or to 20" I'm really curious what the trade off is versus the benefit.
Since the MPH will change, will that throw off error codes or does it/can it be reprogramed at the dealer?
I'm sure other people have done this before so wondering about what their experiences have been.

The difference in diameter isn't that big compared to standard 18s so the it would only be off a couple of mph at best.
I know a dealer will not adjust it as Germany doesn't let them for some strange reason, you'd need to find somebody with a STAR system to adjust the value for you or just live with that few mph difference.

2016 c300 on 20s

I'm just putting this out there to help some of you guys that want to do 20s. I couldn't find much info or pics. I did mine, 4matic, sport version (stock sport suspension).
235/35 ... ET40
275/30 ... ET45
No rubbing issues. Small gap though.
