Cracked lenses on front camera
The front camera on my C43 is cracked. Is there a guide somewhere on how to replace it? Does it need any sort of calibration or is it just plug and play?
This is the replacement part I found online:

Thanks!
My front Camera glass cracked, so I purchased a new on eBay as the price was well below getting it from the Dealer. I installed it myself by simply undoing the upper part of the front bumper and then using, I think its a T8, to remove the screws and pull out the camera. I did this first time without disconnecting the battery. When I installed it back everything had to be re-calibration again by MB.
I learned one thing after removing my front bumper.. Before you disconnect the front Camera, make sure you have disconnected the batter and wait 15 minutes. If you wait this 15 minutes, the car will go to sleep and all the modules will turn off. You can then remove the front camera and install the new one without have to have it re-calibration again.

Did NOT unplug the battery !!! (didn't know I had to ...) Just to check it to confirm it is working, I've plugged it ti the incoming cable on the front of the car (it's a front camera). Started the car and switched to reverse and forward - signal (image) was there on the screen, all was fine. Then I did uninstall the old camera, installed the new one on its place, plugged everything and started the car a second time. SURPRISE (bad) : CAMERAS NOT CALIBRATED message is appearing always on the screen !... Please advise how to handle this situation, the idea is to not go to the MB service shop ;-) ... I've read somewhere that after changing camera, there is a calibration to be done, some other people say not ...
Is there another way to calibrate cameras myself, or ... How much is the camera calibration in the dealer$$$ip shop ? ;-)
Thank you !!!

You will have 100% success rate if you follow the 15 minute process when you replace the front camera. You just have to remember that you must do the following.
1. Remember to leave the doors unlocked.
2. Make sure the key is more than 2 meters away from the car.
3. Disconnect the battery
4. Wait 15 Minutes before you do any work on the car that interacts with Modules.
If you do not follow this sleep mode of the modules, you will interrupt the testing process and only MB can correct it.

@Cosworth2000 will this also work for my Mercedes GLE Coupe 350D from 2015? And do I also need to disconnect the auxiliary battery that is located under the rear seat, or only disconnect the main battery under the passenger seat?
You just need to reconnect the battery after you remove the key far away. Just keep everything open. You do not need to touch the auxiliary battery as it has nothing to do with the camera.
Thanks Again!
