greetings team! w205 220d bluetech 2015.I was told that it would be a good idea to update the software at an authorized service center. What is being done at the expense of Mercedes. Does anyone know what kind of update it is and what are the changes after it?

 

If it ain't broken, don't fix it : ) only update if you have software issues as the potential of introducing bugs from updates is high.

If at no cost to you then ask them if it is part of a recall. If so then they should give you the details, and if it is a recall then you probably DO want to get it.

 

so i was thinking about doing adblue off and my mercedes dealer sugest me to do this update ? I am not sure why he told me that. Also i send him message what they do on this update!

Yes you need to find out what update is this and what it does, which module is it responsible for? Does it improves things does it affect the safety systems for us to better advise you. My comment was mainly towards infotainment system updates that I advised to not install unless you have actual problems such as those which that fixes problems with the backup camera, crashes, glitches.

 

They offered me for free I rejected due to ecu Brabus power box installed they said the software update will delete the power upgrade I said no thanks
