fender removal .. help needed
anyone done this before and able to give some insight or pointers, especially with the ones at rear of the fender under plastic by doors and side skirts.... size and type of fasteners used, best way to access.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
#2 is a T8 bolt... bottom corner of windscreen. to remove the trim, basically get good grip with fingers slightly tucked under rubber pull straight up with a slight rotation towards glass. probably not the correct way to do this but worked for me
# 5 is a 10mm and #6 is a T20 ..... passenger side only has the 10mm bolt.
#7 #9 #11 are 10mm there's also some plastic push pins
No need to remove fender liners, for second side I just removed some fasteners to get some working space, same goes for the plastic pieces on the inside of fender and door don't need to be removed so don't wast ur time trying to get the stupid clips out. #14
I didn't fully remove the rockers just undid the first couple of 10mm nuts and flat disk looking things, then just pulled the rocker out towards myself. open door and pry the rocker out of the first two clips holding it on the inside. This definitely not the correct way to do this as I'm pretty sure the two inside clips are not right when I reinstalled everything. it seems like the clips need to be taken out of body and installed on to rocker and then pushed back but it's holding secure and looks fine.
