Mercedenz Benz C200
Cranking Issue on W205
Hi there,
I have a C200 W205 which i have used for some time. Some weeks ago after driving it for some days after a service i noted that that the car was not cranking. The dashboard is powering on with all the accessories powering on but it cant crank. From the diagonasis as attached i note that there is module which the signal is not stable. Anyone who has had this issue? Tried to supply the power direct to the starter, the car seems to crack but it cant start

Are you familiar with the role of "brake switch" for starting?

Use your scanner to read live switch status.

Use the key in ignition slot instead of keyless....

Hi, actually, have been using the keys for starting as the car doesnt have the keyless feature. Is the break switch avalailble in W205?

I'd be surprised if W205 did not use a brake switch during start procedure.

Read SW status with your scanner.

ECU must know gear status to allow start.
