Spoke to my dealer today and they told me they were told in July the cars should be arriving. I am in Los Angeles.
I didn’t do a special order or anything. i am dealing with the fleet manager who sold me my 2020 C300 and my lease is nearing end of term.

I have been told by my dealer (Mercedes of Bellevue), in Seattle that the delivery will happen end of March to mid April. But seems nothing is confirmed. The car is in LA VPC and they will let me know once it’s shipped to the dealership.

MSRP is still unknown since it depends on what options each individual vehicle has. But it might be similar to the previous model between $43k - $53k is what I think. I would recommend to find a dealer that is not including “market adjustments”

My car is sitting in LA at the moment. Dealer called me and had one with the Burmester and wireless charging just a different color and asked if I wanted it instead of my order. I muted my phone as I jumped up and down and squealed like a child that just got a ticket to the ***** Wonka factory.
He estimates delivery mid-May.

Me too. I was reading on here even if you got the specific trim there was no guarantee it would come with everything the trim had. So, I looked through my build sheet and it didn't have the Burmester or wireless charging and I told him no, cancel the order or I'll wait. I felt like it was a bit of bait and switch and said as much. But, the dealer in Bellevue stepped up and suggested I wait, it might come with it and if they have a car that is close they will let me know so the email that came that had both, and a few options I don't need but am not unhappy to have was going thru customs, I signed. The only thing I really wanted that this one doesn't have is the brown/black seats, they are just black. But, if it means having something 5 months earlier and it has my 'highest priority wants' on it, I can give that up.

Yeah, I also read that on here as well and my dealer wasn't able to add it but for some reason they were able to add it later on when I went in person.

My question: Will dealers continue to gouge when these hit the lots? It's been a nightmare. This will queer any rollout in a BIG way.
"Come see the NEW C300! Make one yours!" ($10K signing fee)" Sorry, but might as well start worrying now. Under normal conditions it's rather stressful dealing with dealers. These days it's beyond belief.
Then again, I'm sure there are those who are ok with it all. Bless you.

They can’t mark them up like that and then expect them to be financed through a bank or MBFS as a borrowers is not able to finance more than the value of the collateral. So it is not like the dealer can add another $10K onto the cost of the car and then expect MBFS to finance them. There are laws especially in CA that prohibit that. I know because I was the Licensing Manager for the state regulatory agency that licenses MBFS to make those loans or leases to CA borrowers. So that premium cost would not be able to be financed as part of that loan or lease.

All the dealers in CA had at least a 5k markup (gouge).
Now, I'm not sure if I mentioned I was paying cash, but I don't think so. Maybe, and what you saying is certainly possible. When I was shopping, I was calling all over the USA just to try and get an order slot, and a dealer who wasn't marking up orders. Even build orders were being marked up $5k on upwards to.... Mind you, this is all over the USA and not exclusive to MB.
Why manufacturers have not clamped down on this, is beyond me, considering it's their reputations at stake. But there it is. It's incredibly bad out there, and so discouraging for me that having to deal with dealers this way is not worth the aggravation, not to mention the cost.

Depends on the dealership. Here in South FL there are 5 local Mercedes-Benz dealerships. 3 of them owned by AutoNation are selling the cars by MSRP with no markups because they’re selling by volume and its been a great and easy experience. But the other 2 independent dealerships are selling few cars on purpose to mark them up 7-10k extra.
My recommendation go to a dealership with lots of incoming volume of cars. My dealership guaranteed me the car at MSRP when i have the deposit in October ‘21 since they have over 2100 cars incoming for all 2022 models either at the VPC, orders or deliveries arriving from last year

Anyone else, please post dealers who aren't gouging.
note: This is gouging. 'Markup' is a euphemism.

I would recommend so, giant car companies like AutoNation who own a lot of dealerships from several brands can give you a better price than independent dealerships since their resources are limited.
Example: A relative recently bought a 2022 GLE at the AutoNation owned MB dealer, we paid MSRP since they had like 25 GLEs in stock compared to the independent dealer which had only 1 GLE marked up 5k from MSRP.
