Quote: Congrats, I am happy to hear that you are finally getting the treatment you deserved being a loyal customer. That is the only way they should have done it in the first place, you know, the smart way and by keeping the customer.

Thank you. Yes I agree. I really appreciate your kindness!! I can’t wait to get it!!! First time I ever bought a car before I even saw it. Hopefully the next 3 days will go fast. Lol.

The waiting is always the hard part, will be worth it in the end though : )

I have two cars on order and need to get rid of one. Can I just tell the dealer to cancel it and they won't get upset

With the way the car market is - I doubt they will care. They can probably pre sell it.

From my recent trip to the dealer though, it looks like they specced the cars onsite.

Quote: Sweet so what do you think of the ride comfort to the E. Is it much closer now or even better than the W213? (me wishful thinking but curious)
The ride was adequate, obviously the longer wheelbase of the E is going to help. I'll make a point to drive them back to back next week but didn't get onto the highway yesterday, just around a busier part of town in stop and go traffic.

I see, good point : )

Sounds good. Thank you! Please also let us know how do you find the comfort of the seats, the side bolsters and stuff for the base E-Class seats versus the C-Class and/or upgraded seats (although I guess seat comfort depends a lot as everyone's height is different) but your experience will still be helpful. Looking forward to it : ) thanks again.

Quote: Mercedes Benz Rockville Center already seems to have about 25 C300s arrived and in the showroom. Huge influx. I hadn't just quite how long ago these cars were built... vins ending 10000-20000 were built in September-October of last year! Vins 50000+ are in production right now.

As a side note, I have not yet seen a build sheet of a car with the Digital Lights. Seems to e one of the most rare options. I like the idea of them, but auto high beam (US version) is standard and those lights are fairly neutered, so unless you plan n coding them to Euro standards, there probably isn't a huge amount of difference, certainly less then on the W205, especially pre FL. I also think that little BMW style light element looks quite nice!
May VIN is in 15185 wow. So it was made last year. That’s crazy how long it took to get here. I think it will be here Monday. Already have appointment for my tints on 23rd! Now just need to confirm appointment with detailer after window tints.

Ordered a MY23 C300 4Matic and I cannot wait. I was surprised at the options I was able to select.. I genuinely hope nothing gets removed from the build. Specifically the Digital Lights, Driver Assistance Package, and Burmester surround sound. ETA is early fall.

since it's a 2023 model they probably allocated a bit more for it or they just haven't announced any future shortages I think. I also ordered one that became a 2023 and Burmester is still in the options.

Since this is a (US ONLY) thread, here is a video of a quick walkaround by a MB dealership in the US, interesting that he said he is considering replacing his E-Class for it:

Hello everybody!

Just have bought mine yesterday. Just spotted on the dealer site day before and got call yesterday. Went there and now it's in my garage. No market adjustment as others do. Pure MSRP. Good deal on trade in. Very happy so far. DX1 trim.

They are selling very well at my dealer here in Los Angeles. They have about 161 of them on their web site and they are coming in daily. They are pre selling them. They are at the port here, they just have to be transported to the dealer. I signed all my paperwork on Thursday 5/12 and the car is supposed to be here Monday or Tuesday! Can’t wait. Did not pay market adjustment at all as the GSM at my dealer came through for me big time. Just can’t wait to get it!!!!

Update: I just checked the MBUSA website again and the base U.S. price is now listed, $43,600. It's still not possible to do a build online. A screen comes up when you try that says that due to the ongoing chip shortage, the availability of features isn't certain which can affect the price so it's best to check with your dealer. I checked the inventory for my local MB dealer and they now have 7 W206 C classes in stock. It looks like the W206 is finally now here in spite of the chip shortage.

Just hit "Continue My Build" and you can use the online builder; it just doesn't have prices yet.

There is no manual to download on the MB web site either. No 2022 C class sedan at all. Looks like it's very hard to do PDF these days.

@W205C43PFL I have finally been able to get my hands on a W206 C300 for a nice extensive test drive. I'll be writing a longer in-depth review for the forum which should be up either tonight or tomorrow but for now I'll just say my impressions are very positive!

Here is the 569-page general overall Owner Manual from the MB UK site. For US specific one, you will have to wait.
But I suppose many features and functions are exactly the same.
So, treat this as a head start.

Forgot to ask in my previous post, do you mind sharing your thoughts comparing the ride comfort in both seats and suspension tuning, please include wheel size as well to a W213 or in your ownership experience the C257 and W167 with the new C-Class, is it getting closer now? You may throw the W223 into the mix if you want as well : ) although obviously I don't expect any similarities because of the price difference will be curious nonetheless.

I’ll try to. Its a bit difficult to compare ride quality without a back to back test drive, and in addition the tires are typically overinflated from the port when these cars are delivered, but I’ll do my best.
