It’s too early to tell if the software update the dealer did fixed the problem as I only had the mbux screen go black two times in 10 months I owned the car.

If so, yours is outdated.

Was the outside temperature high (around 100 degrees or more) when you turned on your car and the center console screen won't turn on? My screen failed only when I visited friends in very hot weather of 101 degrees and left my car parked in the sun for a few hours or more. Let's determine if this issues is temperature sensitive.

In Houston it has been over 100 for more than a month already, but I never had problems with the screen. However I park most times in the shade, and if I leave the car under the sun I use the foldable sunshade

The MBUX issues I've experienced with my car don't seem to be temperature related. The first time it happened it was a September morning and my car had been in the garage. Guessing the temperature was maybe 70-75 degrees. Second time it happened it was in May around noon time. As I recall it was a warm day, but probably not more than 85-90 degrees. Although not parked in the garage, my car was parked in the shade.

After a year of ownership, I am convinced that the screen dying is related to humidity.

In their original recall, MB stated the rear SAM module shuts down as a result of moisture accumulation and installed a felt cover over the SAM.

After the recall was addressed, I haven't had a single day where the screen is dead. This week, a tropical storm in California brought the humidity to well over 90%, which is not normal for us. My car was garaged during the storm, but the air inside felt extremely wet. The next day, for the first time in months, my central screen and blind spot assist were dead when starting the car. Lasted around 12 hours before coming back on.

I also got warning messages that the blind spot assist system and the PARKTRONIC system is disabled, along with a bunch of warning symbols that came on. So pretty much I can’t control the music, cameras, or even the AC settings at all. It seems that is not just a problem with the center screen but rather that the whole system is down. I tried doing a reboot/restart but since the car is fairly new, I couldn’t find anything on how to do that online or in the owners manual. I’ll probably have to take it to the dealership but maybe there is quick fix that would save me the trip. Any ideas?
I found this happens around holidays when the system does a holiday feature. Mine happend during Easter. Same exact issue except when it cam back after 8 hours at work the screen had Easter eggs on it themed MBUX it happened today so im assuming tomorrow morning it will be July 4th themed? I dont like the issue however. I'm taking the car in tomorrow. Second time in 3 months. Hoping it can be fixed.

Hello, I read your post on the forum about the screen turning off. I've had a 2023 C300 for a year, which I imported from the US to Poland, and this exact problem occurs periodically. The screen goes dark for shorter or longer periods while driving, and the parking system or blind spot warning system malfunctions. The screen sometimes turns on after a while, sometimes after several hours. No one can help me with this. No updates seem to help. Please let me know if you managed to fix this problem and how. I would be very grateful for any help.
