MBUX software update new features

Hi folks,
My C Class 2022 has MBUX software version RL_NTG7_E211.206_21244AC3 (shown in MBUX info).
I went to dealer today for other reason and saw the 2023 model, which has some new features in MBUX, especially noticeable in the Nav map, where media playback and few other boxes are always on top of the map, clicking Home button shows all options on top of the map, not exiting map (like mine). This 2023 has MBUX version RL_NTG7_E316.505_22092AC3

So far I haven't had any software update via OTA. It always says there is none available.

The dealer checked my car with the Xentry terminal and it shows there is indeed new MBUX software version available but version shows very large list of meaningless numbers, not the version name easy to identify version like in MBUX screen.
The dealer charges for software update unless there is an existing malfunction. It's not much, around 80 USD. Anyway I didn't do it for now, as not sure if that software update will bring my MBUX to latest version as in 2023 models.

Has anyone had MBUX software update via either OTA or at dealer in 2022 model that can confirm MBUX interface gets indeed refreshed to latest features?

Are you talking about zero layer? If so, try tapping and holding the "home button" on the screen until a prompt shows, if it does show up then your "myMBUX (NTG 7.0)" already has this feature available.

Sure it was the 2023? My dealership last week was still placing orders for the m.y. 2022, meaning they haven't switched to building 2023s I guess.

Oh it has a name! Thanks I was not aware of that. Yes, that's what I meant. I'll try it out tomorrow.

I saw in a german page some folks received the software update including zero layer back in May, for car delivered on Oct 2021. This is page for reference (translated with Google, I can't read german): https://www.motor-talk.de/forum/zero...06.html?page=1

If my car still doesn't have it, I'll need to wait for that update to be delivered, or convince the dealer to do the software update for free... or pay.

Yeah, the dealer told me they just received the first batch of 2023 models this week. It even says "2023" in the description plates on front of the vehicles, it comes with a few more features that 2022 didn't include and a ~11% price increase. The saleswoman I talked to says they expect even another increase in 3 or 4 months.

No way they rose the price up by that much.. that's insane especially since they already raised it over the last gen.

what country are you in? In the US, the 2023 hasn’t been released. It’s only been in production for a little bit - I don’t even think any have landed in the US yet. I think they’re all still at the port in South Africa.

My point exactly. As of today the US Mercedes website still shows the 2022 model.

Well, website is a terrible resource to look at as it’s often inaccurate and updated well after things have already happened, but either way, 2023s aren’t in the US yet.

I will need an update. I tried tapping and holding Home button, but in my case it just changes from one row of icons and map above it to two rows of icons and no map. I'll wait for a couple of months and see if it comes through OTA. Thanks!

I'm in Mexico. I just checked the catalog that was just uploaded to website last week, it confirms it's 2023 model: https://www.mercedes-benz.com.mx/es/passengercars/mercedes-benz-cars/downloadcenter/prices-list/_jcr_content/par/interactions.attachments.0.Lista_Precios_Mercedes-Benz_Mx_2022-2023.pdf
For Mexico, C Class cars are built in Germany. Maybe they're ahead of South Africa

Zero Layer is only present for cars with Navigation. If your vehicles does not have that option, there will be no Zero Layer available for the vehicle.

Thanks, my car does have Navigation services. It has Hard Disk Navigation, Online Navigation, Live Traffic Information, Satellite Image, Parking Info..

Btw, does anyone know if Online Navigation is being used if there is already Hard Disk Navigation installed? Live traffic data seems to come from yet a different service "Live Traffic Information" so not sure what is Online Navigation for in this case.

not sure about Mexico but in USA (I think?) and Canada, live traffic for MBs are provided by an USA company, SirusXM 's SirusXM traffic.

I see and no problem, some updates does require a dealership visit, not all updates are pushed via OTA, especially safety related ones for obvious reasons.

What is the latest version of the software for the EQS 450+ SUV? I'm on 330.602. Wondering if there is anything more recent?

Hi all. I picked up the car from the dealership after the B service (20k miles) and they performed a software update (not ota).

Wondering whether this is the most recent US mbux version for our w206.
