Yes for 2023 models they broke down the packages into singular options, because they could't deliver the full trim packages.
Agree with you 100% on RWD, that's how I ordered mine too. One less thing to maintain and lighter vehicle.

Trims have always been broken down by indivudual package/option on the C Class. There's never been one with "Exclusive trim $2,250", it's always been "Parking assistant package $1000, Sound pcakeg $650, enhanced ambient lighting $250, wireless charging $200, and Illuminated door sills $150". It's made it easier for MB to discontinue parts of it due to availability. The Pinnacle trim simply adds "multimedia package $1700" to that. This just doesn't show on the build your own and isn't clear in the Order Guide.

As for AMG Line, again the website doesn't show this, but the rear spoilers are $350 and are required. So when you select the AMG Line, you select the $3,050 package and the nare required to make the choice between the three $350 rear spoiler oprions, black, body color, or carbon pattern. So that package is really $3,400. The only way to get an AMG Line car without the rear spoiler to save $350 was to get a pre production car. Pre pro cars don't get port installed optoins, and the rear spilers, while technically required, are port installed (Like all D## options) meaning pre pro cars (for US, which are souith africa builds, that is genersally serial numbers under 4400), and those are generally vehicles with a "DQ3" "rebuilt" package with no Night Package. But that isn't important for this conversation.

Interesting information, Benjamin. This being my first new Mercedes-Benz in 23 years, my previous experience is practically prehistoric. While the breakdown into individual options makes sense as a result of semiconductor supply issues, the spoiler thing is just odd. Why not make it standard, price the package at $3400, and then provide for Black or Carbon Fiber as extra cost options to replace body color? Whether it's installed at the factory in SA or at the VPC here shouldn't make any real difference to how the package is specified and ordered. Be that as it may, my apologies for sending the thread down something of a rabbit hole.

I don't understand why in the configurator (still 2022 model on MB Usa website btw) the spoiler is $0 when the AMG package is selected then.

It's not working right now. Those are pop up ads, they are always there.
Try later.

I just heard from my dealership that the build has completed and is going to be shipped to the US soon. My dealer also sent me the final build info, and at least in my case, they did not remove anything. It's with DA6 Sound Package!

Most likely you have the hands-free access removed (opening the trunk with the kick) and a $100 credit, but better missing that than the DA6.
Now you have to wait for a ship. My car sat at East London port for more than 3 weeks waiting for a boat, hopefully you will find a ride sooner.
We learned there are very few RoRo ships coming straight to the US east coast, but I see you are located in California, so who knows if your ship will follow the Asian route instead. Just keep bugging your dealer associate to get updates and the name of your cargo.

Checking my build sheet it looks like the wireless charger was omitted, but we chose almost every possible option (except XM), so maybe that's related.
