I am new here I got my C300 back in September. It’s an exclusive trim. But I have always been wondering about MB Navi for my car. From the MB shop, it looks like my car is not compatible for the MB Navi. I just read a post posted in Dec 2023 of a C300 2022 that was able to buy the MB Navi later down the road.
Exclusive trim includes the navigation and 1 year of map updates as well as live traffic, so not sure why your car doesn't have it. It also used to be available as a one-time purchase from the Mercedes me connect Store, but I don't see it anymore.

The chip shortage is kinda over. I'm not aware of the W206 having been affected by any shortages. I'm assuming you still have full MBUX, so the navigation is just software mostly. Unless your car is missing the GPS antenna or something that's needed specifically for navigation.

When I bought the car, the dealership told me the software of the car had not been fully updated/completed yet but it would gradually update. Now I wonder if this is the reason. I’m thinking stopping by for the dealership to check.

Yes, MBUX 2.0 in these cars has been horribly buggy. I've had a couple of new C300 loaners last year. They had navigation, but the system was super buggy. CarPlay wouldn't stay connected and other issues. Unfathomably that MB shipped these cars half baked. It's not just the C Class. Had an EQS 450 loaner a couple of weeks ago and same issues with CarPlay, system freezing and other issues. Assuming that you activated the Mercedes me connect services your car should be getting updates over the air. You can see in the app if there were any OTA updates for your car.

I just checked the app and saw the latest OTA update I had was in Sep. But my car has been to the dealership for software update twice since I got the car. I hope the navigation will come though. Thank you for your in-sight!

This is the post that I read. I am thinking if my car is the same case. The car in that post is 2022 and it got it MB Nav in 2023. My mercedes me does not show the MB Nav too. It has a list of features that my car is not compatible, but MB Nav is not on that list.

2022 C Class cars didn't have Nav in the Exclusive trim. You would have needed the Multimedia Pkg.
For 2022 and 2023, Nav was part of pinnacle or a separate option on exclusive or premium cars. Nav being part of exclusive is new for 2024. And unlike older COMMAND cars, nav cannot be retrofitted, it must be native to the car. So no, unfortunately you can't retrofit Nav. At least the car has carplay and android auto.

I have a 2022 non-amg line and a 2023 amg line with premium package (burmester, extended ambient lighting, etc), neither of which came with factory nav.
Nearly two years after purchasing the 2022, navigation randomly became available for me to purchase at shop.mbusa.com. It was available for the 2022 and 2023 at the same time, so I'm guessing it was freshly released.
I believe your car may take a few weeks to sync with the MB backend after you register the car to your Me account - at least that's what an agent told me when I had trouble purchasing the nav earlier.
Did the dealer update to the latest MBUX version, which supports zero layer? Press and hold the home button on the central display: https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x8i8l1u
Haven't received OTA update with zero layer yet. Don't know what MB OTA update schedule looks like but looks that my car is at the very end of the list. Just received OTA update for iPhone wireless charging which people noticed few months back. My car hasn't had navigation from the factory (purchased from MB Me Connect) so not sure that I'll get zero layer update at all.
I sent my car back to the dealership over the weekend to fix a chip on the windshield and told them about my inability to purchase the MB map. IPA few hours ago I just randomly checked and now the nav shows up for purchasing along with other digital extra. I’m thinking about having the dealership pay for it since they sold me a car with a chipped windshield otherwise I’ll give them a bad review. Hopefully this doesn’t sound like blackmail lol

Yes that is true, except Burmester 3D but that is a Canadian issue I think? MBUSA don't have Burmester 3D deleted from 2022 W206?

Today I got notificantion about MBUX 2.4 OTA update available. Installed. I have zero layer now. So, luckely I was wrong and update with zero layer comes to a cars without navigation from the factory too. But go figure MB OTA update schedule.

It does get pushed out in batches to make sure when there is an issue with an update they can pull it immediately so less customers are affected, I forgot when MBUX 2.4 was first available but your situation still seems to be quite delayed, any chance the cellular reception for the car is poor during your commute leading to this?

I have a 2022 and 2023 W206 both with nav installed from the MM store. The 2022 didn't receive zero-layer until I went to a dealer and asked for an MBUX Xentry auto-update. The 2023 has yet to receive it and after checking updates in both the app and car, none are available. I'm in California and the updates are definitely staggered!
I have full bars phone and MBUX data signal in Los Angeles, and both cars are connected to a fiber router in the garage. Despite these factors during the entire ownership of both cars, I only received a communications module update early last year. I'd bet that the internet connection quality has little to do with it and it's all from MB's slowly-refreshed backend.

Nope. Connection is fine. Have no issues with online music.

It will come eventually. But to understand why there are such delays is beyond me. It's all electronically. Sending USB thumb drives could be faster than this

Maybe there is also a prerequisite update that needs to be installed via OTA before this update comes? Does one of the W206 have a different version by chance?
