2024 C300 4matic Electrical/PC problems

I have a new 2024 C300 4matic that has broken down for the second time with multiple computer errors on the digital dash. Car won't start or go into gear. It has been towed twice. The first time this happened the car had only 500 miles on it. Have others experienced this issue?

Keep bringing it back to dealer until lemon law gets into effect. I had an error before and it’s gone after restart.

Me Too 23 shop visits and 3 calls for tow truck

I bought a 2022 c300 that arrived in May 2022 after 7 months. It may have been one of the firsts. I have had numerous electrical problems which MB has not been able to fix. I currently have 40k miles and on my latest trip all of the safety apps for which I purchased the car stopped working. No emergency brake assist, no dynamic speed control, no lane assist, etc. It took weeks for them to get my figure sensor to finally work again. The remote start hasn't worked in months. The lane tracking cuts out and the car switches lanes. MB can't find any problem, only updating software. I believe that the problem is hardware which MB refuses to replace.

My car did this exact thing yesterday afternoon.
I called AAA and waited nearly 3 hours for assistance.
The last warning I received was from the Mercedes-Benz (formerly Mercedes Me) app.
It said the 12V starter battery was critically low.
They were able to jump start it with no issue.
Now the CEL is on and I have an appointment with the dealer Wednesday morning.
I'm hoping they will replace the year-old 6,000 mile battery under warranty.

After this 2nd time breaking down, the dealership replaced the fuse boxes. If this issue or other problems happen again, I will be hiring a lemon law attorney and get rid of this car which still has less than 3,000 miles. My other Mercedes have been great cars but this one has been nothing but problems. Best of luck on your vehicle!

LEMON LAWS

Call one of the lemon law firms on Google and discuss. MD has an 18 month time limit. DOCUMENT EVERYTHING.

I believe that even though I am 2.5 years out, there failure to fix the problem (just stating they couldn't find a problem) gives me room to file under lemon law or the Magnuson Moss Warranty Claums Act which provides for legal fees.
I've complained the MB corp center who first gave me an extended warranty and then after all my safety apps just went out they gave me dealer credit BUT the problems still have not been fixed.

My check engine light disappeared this morning.
I had my appointment at the dealership.
They found multiple U codes in the 48v charging system and did a software update.
They did a Xentry check on the battery and it tested OK so no warranty replacement is doable.
They did the regular inspections and didn't do the regular car wash because the temperature was -13F.

The invoice was $159.95 which warranty covered.

The car has been starting and running flawlessly since Sunday so I really have no basis for complaints. Yet.

I am having the same problem with my 2024 C300 which I purchased new with 15 miles on it in August 2024. Engine went limp at 2 weeks and now at 4 months, second time requiring a lift tow with 4 emergency alerts including do not change transmission position. Both issues required computer software updates, only explanation given by dealer. Two codes pulled, first fail was U301700, second code was U005587.

22 total days out of service. Forced to pick up the car with the notation that they are "unable to determione the cause for faults at this time". I have a ticket with MBZ USA to take back the car as it is 100% unreliable and no one can determine why the car goes limp for software updates. From what I can tell, this is a major electrical fault. The car will more than likely need to be used for scrap parts. BRAND NEW CAR. At a loss here, it's my fifth MBZ and the first one with major issues.

Sorry to hear about another person going through the same problems with their new car. They replaced my entire fuse box system after the last issue and so far, no issues. The dealer indicated that there may be faulty fuse box parts on these cars. If there is one more problem, I will pursue the lemon law. Best of luck!

2024 C300 electrical issue

I am currently having this issue with my 20204 C300. All the controls on the steering wheel stopped working as well as the heating of the steering wheel; then one day the digital dashboard completely lit up and stated inoperable for all functions, could not start the car. I had it towed to the dealer and they replaced the 'steering wheel electrics module'. A few hours later when I drove it, the steering wheel controls went out again. At the moment, the car starts and drives, nothing else has lit up on the dashboard. I plan to consult with the dealer on Monday.
