Do you trust auto park assistant?

Its useful in the city, especially when I need to do parallel parking in a high traffic area. Just one attempt and the car is perfectly in the parking spot. BUT... I am always pretty tense when that is happening because it is moving the car so close to the other (back) car with all parking sensors red and beeping. I simply take over the control at that point because I am afraid he will hit it.

What are your experiences? Is it really safe to trust auto park assistant not to hit anything when auto parking?

There's no need to take over control when you get nervous, the system will self cancel when it realizes there isn't enough space or when traffic gets close. It's only really worth using when you have a super tight spot since the computer is way slower than parking by yourself. It can be a nightmare when parallel parking on a boulevard with oncoming traffic, and will most likely cancel.

I've used parking assist in my 2020, 2023, 2025 c300s and it's always been helpful. It's parked me a handful of times when I was going to give up. I would drive back and forth once past the spot and let the system find the spot. It can take what feels like forever sometimes and get super closes to the other cars, but always parks nicely. It leaves enough space for you to open the doors or let other cars pull out.

I've only used it a couple of times but have been impressed with it. We'll use it again if needed.

Yep. I use it in my E's and our GLS. Amazing to use - every time.

Tried it once on my GT Sedan just for the hell of it and it worked really well, like I was surprised well.
I’ve never used it since, takes to long to activate and generally is a pain when trying to quickly parallel park on a busy street I find. If I could say “hey Mercedes park my car” and it started instantly, I’d probably use it.

When I use, I'm more nervous the auto-park will scuff the wheels on the curb, but it never has. I've come to trust the parking feature and use when needed.

I love the feature, and trust it. I just wish you could drive a bit faster while it is searching for a spot. But it works like a charm and does it quickly once it starts.
